Great home in Mt Shasta.
My wife and I and our two pups loved our stay at the Chalet. Jack was really great with the rental process, instructions, and suggestions of things to do in the Mt Shasta area. Our dogs loved the back yard. Home was great. Everything was just fantastic! Thank you Jack.

Cozy and comfortable vacation spot
Dear Jack and Terri, You have created a very cozy and comfortable vacation spot at the Chalet. You have made even better by all the thought given to what people might want or need to have at hand…from desk supplies and kitchen equipment and necessities, to electronics and easy Wife access. It is obvious that you want your guests to find at hand all the things that you yourselves would and do enjoy while on holiday. Having rented many a vacation home over the years, few have come close to providing as many conveniences both large and small as you two have done at the chalet. To add to this, your pages of helpful information on where to explore, including the challenge of these to those of different skill levels, ages and state of fitness, along with the lists and descriptions of good places to eat or purchase necessities were very thoughtfully prepared. Quick response and easy, friendly communication with you has also been a pleasure and very much appreciated. I felt quite at home during my week’s stay, relaxed, comfortable and secure and I thank you for your large part in that experience. I hope to be back. Next time I will encourage my husband to consider joining me with even more enthusiasm as he would have also appreciated the easy accessibility of the chalet and of the deck and the many comfortable chairs, his favorite kind, spacious recliners and rocker recliners and not just one but four of these to choose from in the living room with good lighting for reading and end tables for convenience. He would also have enjoyed the easy ground level floor plan that allows for ease of movement. He would never have need to access the additional rooms on the second floor. The chalet is definitely a rare find for someone with mobility challenges. Thank you for making it all such good experience, Susan

Attention to every detail @ The Chalet
We have just returned from a 3 night stay @ The Chalet & would return in a heartbeat. We arrived following several heavy snow storms, and the driveway & a path had been plowed & dug out for our easy entrance. The Chalet was sparkling clean & far more spacious than we had anticipated. The owners, Jack & Terri, are so friendly and helpful in every way. The ease @ booking, and the quick response time to all inquiries is amazing. It is obvious how much the owners care for "The Chalet". Every detail has been thought of, and there are typed, laminated notes throughout The Chalet that address the location of everything from extra blankets & pillows to Kleenex. The beds are very comfortable, and our son slept great on the pull-out futon. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the fully fenced back yard with easy access through the laundry room (with dog towels provided). We spent our evenings around the table playing the many provided games. The wood-burning stove was prepared with kindling upon arrival, and it provides fabulous heat. We barely used the central heating, and kept the wood stove burning throughout our stay, day & night. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of bakeware, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. We recieved a phone call from Jack during our stay to ensure we did not have any questions & to confirm that all was going well. The Chalet's booked calendar speaks for itself, so plan ahead and book your vacation @ The Chalet ... you will love it !! Thank you, Jack & Terri, for sharing The Chalet. We eagerly look forward to our next visit to The Chalet, !!

Great getaway location
We really enjoyed our stay at the Chalet. The views of Mt. Shasta and Black Butte from the cabin and surrounding neighborhood are awesome. It is located close to Mt. Shasta City but in a very quiet neighborhood with lots of trees. The owners go out out their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay...providing advice on activities, and calling in advance of our departure to advise of weather and during our stay to make sure everything was going well. The Chalet is well equipped, stocked and maintained. So much nicer than renting a condo at a busy ski resort, you really feel at home. The fenced in backyard worked great as we brought along our dog to enjoy the holidays and snow with us. We plan to visit again.

The Chalet at Mount Shasta: Nestled among the pines with views of magnificent Mount Shasta, this charming, modern chalet lets you relax and reflect on the serenity of the area while enjoying the comforts of home. Romantic setting for 2... Yet spacious enough to sleep a large family. The unique combination of outstanding location, exceptional layout, and owner involvement makes The Chalet the perfect place for a mountain get-a-away. ( But if you MUST stay connected, WiFi internet access is provided.)
The large master bedroom suite (upstairs) has a queen bed, futon sleeper, walk-in closet, and full bath (with bathtub/shower). The loft outside the bedroom looks over the living area and offers a great reading spot, and is also perfect for viewing Mt. Shasta. The downstairs bedroom (queen bed) is on the main level with the living area and is nicely situated down a hallway allowing an escape to privacy. There is and another full bath (walk-in shower) near the bedroom. Additionally there is a reclining sofa in the living room where it is easy to fall asleep unintentionally (in front of TV and wood burning stove) where 1-2 people could sleep.

Romantic luxury for 2... Yet spacious enough to sleep a large family. The unique combination of outstanding location, exceptional layout, and owner involvement makes The Chalet the perfect place for a mountain get-a-away. (But if you MUST check e-mail, hi-speed WiFi is provided.)We, Jack and Terri, live in the Bay Area but go to Mount Shasta so often that we decided to buy the Chalet in 1999 for our own use and for guests.
The Chalet is located three and a half miles from central Mount Shasta City, just north of the city limits in a quiet residential neighborhood, recessed from the street. There is plenty of distance (and trees!) between the neighbors. It is very peaceful and private. There is a wonderful view of the mountain from the deck, the dining area, and the upstairs loft area. You will find an outdoor table (with chairs and umbrella) on the deck during the warm weather months as well as an outdoor barbecue grill. Sleds in winter! The large upstairs bedroom suite has a queen bed as well as a futon that opens up to sleep two. (Note: The futon would be comfortable for 2 kids or 1 adult/1 kid but not 2 adults.) There is also a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom. All of the beds are quite comfortable. Additionally there is a reclining sofa in the living room where it is easy to fall asleep unintentionally (in front of wood burning stove) where 1-2 people could sleep. There are two full baths, one downstairs (walk-in shower) and one in the master bedroom suite (bathtub/shower combination). There is a dishwasher, a well-stocked kitchen (with toaster oven, blender, microwave, coffee maker) and a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. The Chalet is VERY pet friendly, with a fenced - in the backyard to enhance your dog's experience at The Chalet.
