This comfortable home offers a great location on a quiet country road and is conveniently situated between two major entrances of the beautiful and majestic Yosemite National Park. The Merced River is only minutes away and leads the way on the 35 mile scenic drive from this home to the Arch Rock Entrance. The alternate route to the park, approximately a 45 mile drive, will take you past the Mariposa Groves where you'll see the Giant Sequoias, the Badger Pass Ski Area, and other attractions. It's an easy day trip to make through one entrance, taking in scenes and points of interest through the park, out the other entrance, and back home with plenty of time to still enjoy a home cooked meal.
There is plenty to see and do in the area, and the quaint historic town of Mariposa serves as a perfect host to the traveling adventurist. There is a wonderful visitors' center that features information that is sure to fulfill all of the curious inquiries of the most adventurous travelers. Mariposa is rich in history and is home to the oldest courthouse still in operation west of the Mississippi. The California State Mining Museum is only a few miles away from this house and boasts some of the most impressive mining treasures ever found in the state of California. Take a short ride to the historic town of Mariposa, where you'll find museums, fine dining, antique shops, and other attractions. Mariposa features a wonderful grocery store that has fresh seafood, sushi, fine wines, fresh produce, and all the fixings to prepare a great meal.
