A one of a kind place. We want to come again.
The charm of Bertrand's cabin makes your indoor time as special as your time in the snow. He was so generous and helpful, from letting us check in a little early to loaning us snowshoes. The collection of children's books thrilled our toddler granddaughter and made it easy for us to put down our electronic devices and truly relax. When a microwave quit, he was most accommodating to get a replacement, going above and beyond.

Perfect stay
This was just the right size for myself and two teenage sons on an epic ski trip that we will long remember. Everything is well thought out, space is used effectively. The layout allowed us to share the same living area while allowing anyone to retire away to their respective alcove if desired. Much better than a motel or hotel, without the overkill and disconnect of a multiple bedroom lodge.

Cute place
We were looking for a quiet place at Kirkwood for a weekend getaway and this "cottage", a studio apartment within a bigger house fit the bill nicely. It interior appears to be recently done, cute with some European touches.

Amazing studio and hosts
We had an amazing weekend stay in the studio. The studio is in the perfect location and is extremely well planned and maintained. We cooked all of our meals with ease in the kitchenette and bbq on the deck. The owners were extremely helpful and suggested several great hiking trails. We are looking forward to our next stay very much!

Our retreat has the atmosphere of a high elevation “refuge” in the Alps, with modern amenities and an original design, located right in the Kirkwood valley. Three alcove beds with beautiful views, a comfortable couch, a kitchenette, and a barbecue on the deck, all make for an easy transition into vacation mode. Previous visitors have loved the space and found sleeping in the cedar alcoves incredibly restful. Solar PV panels and tankless water heater lower the environmental cost of maintaining a cabin at 7800 ft.
The retreat is child safe and family friendly. It comes with a collection of children’s books, puzzles, board games and movies. It is ideal for families or groups of three or four friends. During ski season, you can cross-country ski and snow shoe right off the deck or have the shuttle take you to downhill ski lifts a few minutes away. In the summer, simply hike out to the adjacent national forest or any of the surrounding lakes. It is a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful valley.
