artsy desert retreat
This was a great place to base a visit to Joshua Tree Park. Newly renovated house with 4 bedrooms, 5 beds, plenty of room for a family gathering. Nicely finished floors, great movie posters, Dish TV. Cary the owner was very responsive to all inquiries. The yard is an eclectic collection of desert detritus like an old wooden ore wagon, Model T body, industrial steel wall, really too much to detail. It's a work in progress but very comfortable and clean as is. Well worth a visit and a return stay. Could only wish for a WiFi connection. Town of Joshua Tree is small but growing and the pizza at Pie for the People was great.larry b.

Surreal Artist Retreat. Views. Right next to Park
One of a kind place. If you're looking for a perfect compliment to your Joshua Tree experience, this is it. We stayed with 2 other couples for Desert Daze. We all had comfortable rooms. Cary keeps it very clean and well-stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms. Tons of hang out areas to rehash the festival the night before and plan out the next day. We loved the indoor/outdoor feel. Heard coyotes hunting every night and saw jackrabbits during the day. We had a music blogger and his photographer with us and just the pics of the property were out of this world. Plenty of trippy photoshoot and Instagraming opportunities. Cary was attentive throughout our stay and was always in close contact with any questions. I felt like I was borrowing a friend's house for the weekend. I am also a VRBO owner and respect the way he handled the rental, the pricing, and cleanliness of the property. Solid 5 starsKelli N.
