Best Location in Big Bear!! Walk to the Village and the Lake

Details

Home Description

Enjoy a terrific location within walking distance of the lake and Village from this beautifully remodeled 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cabin. Decor features include gleaming hardwood floors, river rock fireplace, cathedral ceiling with wood paneling, spacious kitchen and a new bathroom that looks like it came from the pages of a designer magazine. Enjoy the flat panel TV while relaxing on the large sectional sofa. Relax in the sparkling hot tub on the patio. Free wireless Internet and a telephone are provided for your convenience.

Each bedroom features a Queen sized bed with charming mountain style log beds and there is a Queen sized sofa bed in the living room.

There are open lots below, in front, and behind which gives you the feeling of space and the outdoors. Most houses in Big Bear are built very close together.
Of course, it’s fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware and everything you need to cook a full meal. This cabin sleeps 6.

There is another cabin on the same property with an equally nice remodeled interior that sleeps an additional 4 persons so your group of up to 10 persons can be accommodated.

During the winter when there is heavy snow the road and driveway gets icy and slick like most places in Big Bear. Please make sure you are familiar with driving in the snow and have chains if you have 2 wheel drive.

Very well appointed mountain home

The entire experience was an absolute pleasure. John, the owner, couldn't have been more hospitable. The house was very clean with a great layout and list of amenities. My family love the house and location. We will definitely be returning for more visits. Thanks again John. Best, Charles McDaniel

Super awesome, perfect location!

The cabin itself suited our needs perfectly. The house is nice and cozy, and the location can't be beat! We walked (in the freezing cold rain) to dinner one night, and lunch the other two days. We have a three year old and 5.5 month old so we didn't venture out to the slopes, but they were so close. The property also has a nice little grade to it so it lent itself to just the right slope for "sledding" on our discs with our kid(s). And the market/liquor store that is literally a two minute walk got a lot of our business. John was a very responsive and attentive host, especially when a little mishap took place. He followed up appropriately and was a joy to interact with. We had never rented someone's home and didn't know what to expect, but this experience made us feel comfortable about doing it again. Thank you. PS: The BBQ place that is also a 2 minute walk is AMAZING! The brisket is soooooooo good.

100% as advertised

This place is absolutely perfect and the owner is responsive and honest. It's a perfect location with a tasty pizza place only a 5 minute walk away and the Big Bear Lake Village less than a 10 minute walk away. Not to mention there are no close by neighbors and the jacuzzi is very quiet and private. The cabin is cozy yet up to date and very clean. Only a 10 minute drive to Snow Summit resort. The cabin is well stocked with all of the essentials....the only additional items I would add on my packing list would be a big nonstick skillet (if cooking a lot) and starter blocks for the fire place.

Great property; great owner!

I've been using HomeAway for years, and I've never had a property owner be so communicative and responsive. Weeks before our stay, the owner emailed me an extensive breakdown of the property and even included personal recommendations for restaurants, sights, etc (with links for more info). He then texted us the day we arrived to make sure we got in ok and didn't need anything. He was then immediately responsive to a few minor questions we had. In my experience, the responsiveness and helpfulness of property owners/managers can really make-or-break a vacation, and this owner made our trip that much easier/enjoyable. The property itself was fantastic. The house was warm and cozy with a large main room perfect for our family (my wife and me, and two young children). Big Bear had just gotten some snow, so the driving up the hill to the cabin was a little treacherous, but thankfully the cabin is so perfectly located that we were able to walk to everything we wanted. The property also has a nice yard perfectly suited for sledding! We are already planning a return trip to Big Bear in the summer, and we will definitely be staying here again!
