Great experience and wonderful hospitality
I agree with another review, the house is bigger in person then looks in pictures. We were late getting there due to LA traffic, boo, but the owners took care of us. Helped with finding a store and getting settled. Thank you. We had two families staying in the house with no issues experienced with one full bath and a 1/2 bath. The house was very well kept and maintained. Rooms and bedding very comfortable! I would stay there again and recommend to families looking for an affordable and comfortable place to lodge.

The place was perfect
The cabin was beautifully decorated and clean and it had everything we needed plus more. We have stayed at several cabins in Big Bear, as well as other places, and this was the best experience so far. Judging by the pictures the cabin appeared small for our group, but once we got there we saw there was more than enough room for us. A couple people from our group couldn’t make it, but there would have been plenty of space for them as well. We cooked dinner two nights and breakfast two mornings and the cabin had all of the utensils and condiments we needed. There were even snacks in the pantry, and ice cream in the freezer. The location was only a few miles from Snow Summit, but it was somewhat out of the way, which was perfect. Next time we stay we will definitely go for a hike in the national forest, which was right down the street. Another thing that made this trip so perfect was the weather, as we got 2 – 3 feet of snow. The kids got to build their first snow man and the day we spend on the slopes was awesome. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. We will definitely stay here again. Warmest regards, Greg

Historic Mary Astor House
Our stay at historic Mary Astor House in Big Bear Lake was a memorable get-away vacation. This home is lovely and interesting. The owner's sister welcomed us, showed us the amenities and we liked the cabin immediately. It was very clean, well decorated and only a short drive from the slopes and the village. It had everything we needed inside and the bedding was very comfortable. The cabin's upper level ambiance was the highlight. The view from its windows of rural landscapes created a feeling of serenity. Although we came there for outdoor activities and did spend time doing them every day, we couldn't wait to get back to the cabin and enjoy its charm and coziness. We also enjoyed having pre-Christmas dinner parties every night. The cabin is perfect for a large group of people. There were 7 of us. We had a great time and will definitely love to return.
