Sunset Villa

Details

Home Description

The development overlooks the Bay of Koyunbaba and the Greek Island beyond. The sunsets from this part of the coastline are amazing.
The villa is laid out on two floors with a cloakroom/shower room, utility area, living/dining and kitchen area and twin bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A further set of stairs lead up to the very large roof terrace.

The lounge/living room, dining and kitchen areas are open plan style. The lounge/living room has a leather sofa and casual chairs, coffee table, freeview satellite and TV (with some English channels), DVD/CD player. The internal dining area again has seating for 6. Sliding patio doors open onto the covered dining terrace and surrounding gardens and the views .

The kitchen area is tiled with high quality tiles and fitted with a range of wall cupboards and base units housing the oven, hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A microwave and kettle etc plus everything you require for a self-catering holiday is provided in the cupboards.

Just inside the entrance door is a cloakroom/shower room and opposite a utility area with washing machine. A twin bedroom is also at this level - see bedroom descriptions further down.

The village is neat and very tidy, and some antiquated buildings have undergone some sensitive restoration and conversation to modern use, like a disused olive oil processing plant which has been refurbished and turned into a very attractive souvenir shop. You will immediately become aware of the peacefulness that wraps around everything like an invisible being, besides so many other beautiful things, when you first step into the village. It is not known whether this effect originates from Yalikavak being spread over a wide area or the sublime endless breeze that cools this unique location even during the hottest summer days, one thing is certain, the sensation of absence of disturbance will embrace you completely. It is one of the greenest locations of the peninsula and nature has been very generous in terms of granting it an amazing blue sea and gorgeous coastline.
As you reaches the bay, you will notice the ruins of three old white windmills on the hills, and these hills are also perfect for pleasant picnics and long walks, particularly in the spring when they are covered with a colorful carpet of beautiful flowers bursting newly into bloom. The beach is sandy and not crowded and near the beach there are pleasant (fish) restaurants where you can have just a cool beverage or enjoy a full meal. Yalikavak impresses with its combination of alluring traditional charm and a sense of recognition of the importance of contemporary comforts desired by todays discerning visitor. This is what makes Yalikavak attractive to those who care for both, the old and the new.

Bathroom notes:
the first bathroom is on the ground floor, which is next the first bedroom.
Second bathroom is the family bathroom on the first floor with a shower cabin.
Third bathroom is the en-suite in the master bedroom

Kitchen notes:
Fully-fitted kitchen

Meal notes:
Self-catering
the nearest restaurant is at 700 meters distance at the beach side. For more alternatives one should look at the city center of Yallikavak and Gumusluk, both approx. 3 km from the villa for especially fresh fish restaurants.

Onsite facility notes:
there is security on site
2 full time employees make sure of the clean and tidyness of the pool areas and communal areas.

Car notes:
the villa is a bit up hill, thats why the view is great. Local transport is very well arranged, but iit might be easier to have a car available.

Leisure notes:
Formerly being the areas main fishing port, the beautiful village of Yalikavak maintains a very relaxing atmosphere for charming seaside eating. Yalikavak is positioned in the north-western corner of the Bodrum peninsula, 18 km from Bodrum city means it is one of the least developed spots in the area with a lot less hotels and self-catering apartments, making it a very enjoyable stay away from the crowds.
