A beautiful property on a lovely part of the island. The view from the master bedroom is amazing, while lying in bed you can look down across the rain forest onto the bay below, it's quite a sight to wake-up to in the morning. The house itself is immaculate, the pictures do not do it justice. The infinity pool is a good size, deep and well maintained; there's an open air sun deck with outdoor lounge, TV, sofas and chaise longue. If you're feeling uninhibited you can shower in the open air, or alternatively the master bathroom has wide open views into the virgin rain forest. Trevor was a fabulous host. He was very flexible in extending our stay for another night at short notice, and was on hand (his home is just a stone's throw away) to help with any little queries we had about local restaurants, etc. Trevor currently has three rental properties. Xanadu sits at the top of the hill and has a commanding view down on the rest of the estate ("Patience"). All three of the rental properties look charming, but Xanadu was another league. Our 12 night vacation started at the 5* Trinidad Hyatt, and moved onto Coco Reef (reportedly the best beach resort on Tobago). Xanadu put the rest of the trip in the shade by quite a margin; when we arrived the wife likened it to Branson's Necker Island, it's that spectacular. Car hire strongly recommended, the estate is relatively secluded and there's not a great deal in the immediate area. You also need to be prepared to be woken by the birds, as flocks of Cocorico (the national bird of Tobago) are frequent visitors to this area, and just like the people they represent can be fairly spirited in the small hours!

Villa Xanadu is finished in 2013 on top of Nature Retreat. It has a beautiful pool, a open kitchen and a bedroom with phantastic view to either the rainforest or the Caribbean Sea. Here you will find a peace of paradise - not just visually - the sound of the rainforest and the waterfall create a wonderful background music...
The kitchen is well equipped with a big fridge and all amenities like Microwave, Blender, Coffee Pot etc.. Villa Xanadu also has a Sat TV, DVD & CD-Player.
