Very pleasant place in Cable Beach
We had a lovely 3 days at Westward Villas. It is exactly as described, and very clean and comfortable. Downtown is an easy busride away, only $1.25 pp, but after you have seen the downtown once you don't need to go there again, everything you need is nearby within easy walking, supermarket, cafes, resaturants, beach, and the property has a lovely refreshing swimming pool of its own. It is located in a nice neighbourhood, I walked the streets every day for my regular morning excercise. Gayle was easy to communicate with and her and her husband were very helpful during our stay. I do hope we can return again sometime.

Large, Comfortable. Clean and Convenient
This place is exactly as advertised except for the fact that the host is even more gracious, hospitable and accommodating than one would expect. VRBO should be required to remove the one negative review as there are details in that review that just could not be true (such as the bit about a neighbor hanging clothes -- there are no clotheslines at any neighboring property). That review really gave us pause, but should not trouble anyone. We did not see any roach or such bug. The bed is a bit soft for my taste, but my wife thought it was perfect, and we both got the best sleep we'd had in months. We had wanted to rent a car, but that did not work out, and it turned out to be a blessing. The condo is a block from the bus stop (great public transit during the day, so this worked out fine). Also, the condo is around the block from a great Chinese restaurant and a bakery; two blocks from some fas food joints, pharmacy, and other shops; three blocks from three sit-down restaurants (two are top rated); four blocks from a grocery store and the beach. Pool was small but clean and well maintained. Major resort is two blocks walk and you can buy a day pass, which is a real treat. The neighborhood is quiet and seemed very safe. Best part though is how nice the host is. They stayed out of our way and gave us plenty of privacy, but also offered to help (beyond any expectation) upon arrival, and when we needed a favor clearly outside their responsibilities, they did not hesitate to help us. Uness you want to pay triple or more for a resort experience, you can't go wrong with this place.

Paradise!
My stay was amazing! It's safe to say it's better in the Bahamas. I rented a car so I was very nervous about getting lost, but it was quite easy. Gayle sent me step by step directions to get to the condo. I must say this definitely made it smooth sailing. Once we arrived to the condo Gayle was there as promised. She gave me a tour of the condo and then showed me the pool. This is were I spent most of my days. Its perfect! I felt like I had a private pool all to myself. The weather weather was amazing and the pool was so inviting! I also went to the beach which was in walking distance so I barely used my rental. The beach was breathtaking:) The sand was so white and the water was so clear. The condo was very clean and I felt right at home. I truly don't want to leave. I'm actually planning on coming back in the summer with my family and we will be calling Gayle to book. My stay was short but sweet! Absolute paradise!

Ideal Location & Amenities for a Relaxing Stay
This two-bedroom rental located only one block from the beautiful and serene Cable Beach was the ideal location for a relaxing beach vacation for two. First of all, Cable Beach was the nicest beach I saw while visiting New Providence Island. It wasn't crowded and small like Junkanoo near Nassau and the cruise ship port. If you're looking for a relaxing and more quiet beach experience, Cable Beach is it. Second of all, the rental had everything we could have needed. Coffee and coffee maker, two queen-sized bedrooms, with dressers, closets, and windows that opened and looked out over the beautiful trees. There were plenty of fresh bathroom as well as beach towels to use, washer and dryer, working stove and oven so we could make breakfast every morning, cable TV, back patio to sit out on, as well as access to the pool patio which we spent many a mornings at. The grocery store was only 3 or 4 blocks away, and also within that distance were several different restaurants, pharmacy, post office, and Starbucks. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We took the 10 bus each day right from main road down to Nassau for only $1.50 each way. It was a great way to travel between Cable Beach, the Fish Fry, Junkanoo, and Nassau. Gayle was there upon arrival and was willing to answer any questions we had. She made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a more intimate vacation experience that you can't get a large resort.
