House Casa Marcial is located in the heart of a historic medieval town and the Jewish quarter, on the mound where the ancient castle of Counts of Besalú stood and around which the people of Roman times articulated their lives.
In its gardens there are the remains of an X century rampart, the apse of the Romanesque, collegiate church of Santa Maria, XII century, and the rest of the ramparts from the same era.

Casa Marcial historic building: Casa Marcial has two buildings. The first one is catalogued and is of the late c. XIX and the early XX. It is in neo-classic style and notable for its facade and the 'alcoves' inside. The second building, with a new floor, is built on the remains of a medieval noble house from the first half of the c. XVII.
