The three-bedroom, three bathroom villa looks out over Lake Vinuela and down to the Mediterranean Sea beyond. The Costa del Sol and the coast being a beautiful 20-minute drive away.
The villa perches in its own grounds on an infinity platform with fantastic views and with a safely gated swimming-pool on its own terrace just below.
It is beautifully decorated with great taste and style and can accommodate 6 to 8 people on two floors.
A five-minute stroll takes you to the heart of this totally Spanish village with its tiled spring-water fonts and flower-decked winding streets. Here you can enjoy the real Spain with the sights and sounds of this Andalusia gem, where everyone greets everyone and the restaurants and bars offer great value.
You might even get a glimpse of the ladies practicing their flamenco, the goatherd tending his goats and the farmers who still use mules to tend to their crops. The scent of the mango, avocado and orange trees are all around you.
Inside the Villa :
Casa Beni has three double bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms and one with a separate shower room. The extremely comfortable beds are of a Danish design and can be made up to provide two doubles and a twin or three twins. They are all very individually decorated and the master bedroom is on the upper floor with its own very large roof terrace and the most beautiful views.
The Moroccan bedroom on the ground floor has French doors which open out onto the terrace.
The Indian bedroom which has the twin beds in it is the safest for children as it has only a window but also has views onto the terrace.
There is a large and very comfy sofa-bed in the living room, but this is better used just for the occasional night.
The large elegant living space has large comfy sofas and a romantic fireplace with wood-burner. The dining-room table can expand to seat 12 people and a charming open-plan kitchen equipped with an amazing amount of equipment and beautiful china.
Decorated with style, personality and comfort, Casa Beni is fully air conditioned but has the added luxury of underfloor heating for the cooler months. There is free WiFi access and Satellite Television with all the main UK channels. The cupboard is crammed full of DVDs, lots of board games and also a Nintendo machine.
Outside the Villa :
Casa Beni stands alone in its own grounds, surrounded by various terraces and raised high above the valley below, giving way to breathtaking views down towards the sea and beyond to the mountains of North Africa. Looking out behind the villa one sees open countryside reaching up to the foothills of Mount Maroma. From the villa one can walk for miles straight up into the Sierra Tejada National Park one way or take a four-minute walk down into the village the other.
Two sets of French doors open from the living-room onto a spacious covered patio, where there is a mosaic table and chairs for 10 for eating al fresco. This opens up onto a very large terrace with a large gas BBQ.
The 7 x 4 metre swimming pool is set safely within its own gated terrace below and there are many sunbeds scattered around the various terraces to enjoy either the poolside, the shade or the sun. There are 4 large sunshades, which can be moved around the property to provide shade where it is needed most.
There is a ping-pong table and a basketball net on the terrace and a petanque set, which we play with on the adjoining plot.
