Located in northern Portugal, in the green region of Minho, only 15min away from the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Casa de Abbades is accessible by highway from Porto (45 min.) or from the border of Spain (20 min.). Dedicated to tourism since 1979, Casa de Abbades today offers as accommodation three apartments, each with two double bedrooms (sleeps 4) or T1 units (2 pax). Accomodation includes homemade breakfast served in the apartments, daily cleaning, access to gardens and pool, free wood supply for openfire and barbecue facilities. Meals can be served on request in the apartments, garden or pool. Guests also have other services like laundry and babysitting at their disposal. Casa de Abbades has two large apartments (ground floor and upper floor), that were once the house of the cottager – A Casa do Manel. There is also an apartment in an old distillery, Alambique, now restored and transformed into a cozy apartment, with a wonderful feature: a private garden. Indoors, each one of the apartments was adapted to the comfort and demands of modern life, keeping some of the furniture as a reminder of the old life: iron beds, vanities and old sink washers. Breakfast is served in each apartment at the time desired by the guest, with homemade natural orange juice and jams. Upon request, dinners and parties up to 50 people can be organized. All the wood used in the fireplaces is a courtesy of Casa de Abbades, as well as the barbecue. All apartments have free wireless Internet access. Casa do Manel, Ground Floor apartment has its own space outside, a stone paved patio, bordered with beautiful coloured flowers, perfect for spending a relaxing day or for a fun barbecue evening. Inside its it very spacious, comprising a double room with a bathroom, a twin room, a large bathroom, a kitchen, a dining room, and a living room with a fireplace. It is also equipped with central heating.
