Because of this restoration and because of its architecture and antiquity, combined with a concordant comfort, the “Casa das Paredes” deserved the merit of being included in the tourist distinction classification of the "Manor Houses of Portugal" (Solares de Portugal).
The Manor House is situated nearby the historical cities of Guimarães, Braga and Porto and nearby the Natural Park of Peneda-Gerês.
The House is surrounded by the most beautiful gardens with several centenary trees and granite tanks with running water; by a spacious park with a swimming pool surrounded by grass with a rural threshing-floor, shed, granary and extra outdoor bathrooms. Higher up in another garden with foliage you will find another swimming pool made out of granite with ornament.
The House is fully equipped with central heating. It has eight bedrooms, in which six of them have double beds and in the other two of them there are two single beds per room. Each room has build-in wardrobes and a private bathroom.
The House has several rooms like sitting-rooms with a fireplace, a dining-room, a game-room with a pool table, ping-pong table and table-football.
The Garden Cottage, situated in the garden, is suitable for 2/3 people. It has one bedroom with two single beds, one bathroom, a kitchen and a living room with a sofa bed, television and a fireplace. The cottage is surrounded by the garden filled with century-old camellias, a decorative pond and a tank with running water.
The Lake Cottage, situated in the garden, is suitable for 2/4 people and has one bedroom with two single beds, one bathroom, kitchen and living room with a double sofa bed, fireplace and television. The cottage is surrounded by the garden filled with century-old camellias, a decorative pond and a tank with running water.
The garden and yard are surrounded by walls. In front of the main street stands the 17th century tank with running water. On both sides of the yard exists a beautiful garden with fruit trees, century-old camellias and a swimming pool with a relaxing and fresh lawn next to it and a modern playground with swings and slide.
On the agricultural land of the “Casa das Paredes” there is a 3 km circuit of maintenance, where we can cycle or simply jogging.
