The kitchen is fully equipped, and you are welcome to use the facilities. The house was first constructed in the end of the 18th century, later restored and made bigger until what it is today. The monumental entrance is the access to both the house and the chapel. In the chapel, notice the gothic altar and the ceiling decorated with 18th century Chinese plates, inspired from the chapels in Portuguese Goa.
The library has hundreds of newer and antique books in many languages. Her you can read, relax, see TV or use the free WiFi. There is a direct access to the main terrace and the twin bed room. The other part of the house has 3 bed rooms with in suite bath rooms. An upper lounge is good for reading.
Down the stairs, you have the magnificent lounge with the old stone walls. Doors are leading from here to the porch. The TV room has also a free WiFi. Note the hand painted tiles, the damask silk on the wall on the dining room. The whole decoration is helping you to get back to the romantic period. Even the old rusty guns from the Napoleonic wars, that is found in the stairway, can help your fantasy. Natalia is the house keeper cleaning the house. She will come every day in the morning, and she will help you with cleaning, towels and linen etc.
On the facade of the house you have five Portuguese tile panels; hand painted and specially made for Casa das Videiras. The name of the house comes from the wine plant, and all the motifs are from the wine harvest and production. Please lock in all valuables in the free safe in your room. The house is not responsible for any valuables not locked inn.
