We had a wonderful family stay at Casa Manjericao in September 2014. We were glad to have Sat Nav and some detailed directions from the owners to find the house, but once there it was perfect for us. We were 6 adults and 4 children under 4. There are 5 spacious bedrooms, with excellent bath and shower rooms There is plenty of space inside and out for quiet relaxing and eating and the children (and adults) loved the pool toys, inflatables, buckets and spades. We found the tennis court an excellent play space for ball games too. There was an extensive video and book library and plenty of boxed games to play. The views over the hills towards the sea were fabulous, especially at sunset. The maid service was a real luxury for us, and the local rep visited early in our stay to answer any questions and make suggestions for days out, although there was a comprehensive file about the area in the house.”

A wonderful three weeks in July and August
Spent a wonderful three weeks in July and August at the villa with the family (three generations) and friends. Situated on the hillside with stunning views to the sea, the villa was spacious and very comfortable. We also made full use of the swimming pool and tennis court/football pitch! All you require for a relaxing and great holiday and would highly recommend it.

Awesome Stay
My family of three generations has been visiting Casa Manjericao for 16 years. One year we couldn't get a booking when we wanted it so took another villa in the area. This year we went back and my grandchildren commented "Oh good, we are going back to our proper Portugal house.

The perfect place for a special anniversary
In August for our thirtieth wedding anniversary our family, 6 of us , stayed for one week at this beautiful villa in Santa Barbara de Nexe. Our children who are 29 & 26 both have partners so it was nice to have plenty of space at the villa. The rooms are a good size, comfortable and well appointed, they are also very clean. The outside area with swimming pool, tennis court and barbeque area set in idyllic gardens was indeed the highlight. Overall it was everything we could have wished for, there was no downside. A car is essential to explore the area, we got to some fabulous beaches within half an hour and shopping amenities in less time then that. Local eateries cover all price ranges, and the food was always excellent. The owners were always very helpful and did a good job to make us feel at home. The is a concise folder with lots of information left at the villa which we found to be very useful. I would recommend the villa to anyone and I hope we will get the chance to visit it again ourselves.

The owner, Beryl Milnes, is very happy to discuss any query potential clients may have on the telephone and to establish that this is, in fact, a genuine property rental. We aim to give our clients the kind of family holiday home we would wish to visit ourselves. The house is extremely well equipped in terms of china, cutlery, kitchen equipment, linen and towels. Many clients tell us it feels like a family home and that's what we aim for. It is well furnished but no precious antiques, so you can relax and be comfortable. There are five bedrooms, all with air conditioning, sleeping ten people, plus two cots and two extra Z-beds available if required.
3 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. All bathrooms have been completely refitted in last two years. There is a poolside shower-room/loo and downstairs cloakroom - six loos in all!
Space in 2 bedrooms to take extra beds. There is a large large sitting room and separate dining room - masses of space for large groups. Maid service weekdays; baby-sitting can be arranged through local managing agent. Great selection of boxed games, together with extensive reading and DVD libraries. Everything on ground floor, including two bedrooms, on one level, no steps, and straight out onto terrace, so ideal for toddlers and 'senior' family members. There is a large table for al fresco dining, swimming pool, terraces on two levels, sun loungers, barbecue. Extensive gardens with shaded area suitable for playing boxed games, a quiet read or an afternoon snooze. Super tennis court, which is excellent for other ball games. Garden totally secure. You are not overlooked from anywhere and have lovely views over surrounding hills with distant sea views. Casa Manjericao is an ideal holiday location for those who seek relaxation and an opportunity to enjoy sporting activities.The villa is in a breathtaking rural setting within easy driving distance of Faro, Loule, Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago & Vilamoura, where you can enjoy famous Algarve beaches, golf courses, water sports and take boat rides and fishing trips. There are many restaurants in the area where you can select from a wide variety of local and international dishes at prices ranging from £5 to £50 a head. Great shopping, leisure activities in driving distance. Our maid Florencia has been with us since 1992 - adores kids, especially babies, and is a part of our family, much liked by clients. Isabel Almeida and Daniel Goncalves are our local managing agents. They are happy to provide an 'arrival parcel' of basic food and drink items on your arrival day and will call on you to give information on the area and answer any questions you might have. They are on call should there be any problems during your stay. We are happy to say that many of our clients are "returning guests" - one family now having visited once a year for the last fifteen years.
If you are looking for a spacious family home for your holiday, this is the villa for you. If you want bars and discos on your doorstep, then I suggest you look elsewhere.
