This villa has probably one of the best views over the ocean and you can walk to Martinhal beach in just a few minutes.
You enter Vila Verde through an automatic gate and then up a few steps to the spacious pool and terraced area with amazing views to the sea. Just off the main terrace there is the all important BBQ for those wonderful lazy lunches and dinners eating al fresco.
From this spacious terrace there is access to the main house. On entering the villa the fully fitted kitchen is through a door on your left and is fitted with quality appliances and is totally equipped with everything you may need for your holiday.
The living room is through to your right which is comfortably furnished with two sofas, a dining table and chairs, a DVD player and flat screen TV. The living room is full of natural light due to large windows all along one side of the room which allows views to the south right through to the ocean. The large window to the left of the room offers views to the east, to the garden and terrace.
There are two bedrooms in the main house. The master bedroom has a large double bed, plenty of fitted wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The main bedroom also has access to a private terrace from where you can walk round to the pool area.
The twin bedroom, also with plenty of wardrobe space has an adjacent shower room and the third bedroom is located in the cottage/annex which is only a couple of steps away from the main villa.
The cottage/annex which is separate from the main house, but only a few steps away, offers not only the third large bedroom but a separate kitchenette and a spacious bathroom so ideal for grandparents/family members who wish to have their own space.
The owners of Vila Verde are proud of their house and hope that other families are able to get as much joy from it as they do. Their only request is that there are no balls games played within the grounds, but with a large expanse of sandy beach to play on this shouldn't be a problem.
Vila Verde is also a good villa to consider during the winter as the Algarve is known for its relatively warm climate through the winter months and the villa will be warm and dry due to the high quality eco construction.
Vila Verde is located on the outskirts of Sagres, which is totally unspoilt and different from many other more touristic destinations. The local people are really friendly, and it reflects a "real" image of unspolit Portugal. The whole area is surrounded by National Park.
Apart from Martinhal beach, spectacularly seen from Vila Verde, there are also 22 other beautiful beaches all within easy access which is why this location, close to the most westerly point of the Algarve, Cape St. Vincent, steeped in maritime history, never seems to feel busy even in the height of summer.
If you are not keen to just lie back and enjoy the peace and quiet and prefer a more active holiday there are many golf courses that are easy to get to. The closest ones are:- Parque da Floresta, Boa Vista (championship course), Palmeiras and Penina
Sagres is also famous for surfing and Martinhal beach is a world class windsurf location.
Sagres also offers great restaurants, a couple of banks, supermarket and great surf bars!
