Lime, wood, stone and terracotta are the traditional materials wich textures we can still experience. The three bedrooms have private bathroom, ceiling fan, and air conditioner. Two rooms have twin beds, and one has a double bed; this bedroom has a bathroom prepared for disabled persons. The house uses rain water that is captured in a “eirado” and stocked in a underground “cisterna” for domestic consumption (i.e., tap water). The water is automatically pumped to the house, being previously filtered and UV sterilized. The orchard surrounding the house is watered using a drip irrigation system from a surface tank that receives potable water from a well. In hot days, the tank is used as a swimming pool.
Several beaches are 5 minutes away, travelling by car: Carvoeiro beach, Vale Centeanes beach, Carvalho beach, Benagil beach, Albandeira beach and Marinha beach. Golf courses are likewise accessible: Vale de Pinta (18 holes), Gramacho (18 holes) and Vale de Milho (9 holes). At about the same distance from the house (4 km) we have northwards the main city of Lagoa and southwards the fishermen village of Carvoeiro.
Outside the village, 1.5 km to the beach, 2 km to the city center, 1 km to supermarket, 2 km to the bus station, family holidays, luxury accommodation, charming accommodation.
