Minimum StayWonderful Cabanas apartment
Spent a week at this lovely apartment at the beginning of July. Sue and John were there to meet us and explain everything we needed to know. The apartment was not only excellently equipped but immaculate and there was some good reading material and videos. There is also digital TV with loads of channels just in case of bad weather. John very kindly came out and sorted the digital tv out when my husband inadvertently messed it up by fiddling with the remote! It is only a very short walk to the sea front with a wide choice of restaurants and shops that stay open until very late. The apartment was in a very quiet location and we had the use of the swimming pool to ourselves on most days. We found ourselves well placed to visit lots of local attractions and the hidden pool with waterfall was a perfect way to spend the day if you pack up a picnic (there was even a cool pack in the freezer but you wil need your own cool bag) The beds were extremely comfortable and the ensuite lovely with a decent shower. The air conditioning was very welcome and certainly made sleeping easier. There was a booklet explaining everything in the apartment and if you follow these instructions you will find everything simple to use. The apartment is good for those with a disability so long as it is not a mobility disabilty. We took a adult with a learning disability and she loved it. I do not have one single negative comment to make about the apartment and the price was absolutley amazing for the height of the season. I am sure we will return in the near future. We will be back!
We were looking for a home from home relaxing family holiday with a beach, pool and nice places to eat close by and we found it in Cabanas! From the first message to Sue and John the service was first class. The booking process was easy, everything well explained and the extras of being able to hire beach towels and the arrangement of transport from and to the airport was a welcomed bonus! The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed as a family with two young children. The pool was lovely and never busy and the boat ride to the beautiful beach was an enjoyable adventure for us all! The are lots of friendly, very reasonably priced restaurants close by and local shops to buy food to eat in. We enjoyed our holiday so much that after only 2 days of being back home we contacted Sue and John to book the apartment again for next year!

And relax...!!
From the time we booked the apartment and wanted an odd number of days Sue & John couldn't have been more helpful. Emails were answered immediately - taxis, car seats etc sorted and everything ran extremely smoothly. The apartment was brilliant for us - 2 adults & 2 children (9 & 7) although we didn't spend a huge amount of time in it as the children lived in the pool in the mornings, which was never busy & we spent every afternoon on the beach which was lovely (as were the doughnuts!) The water taxi was excellent and made it just a little bit different from the usual beach holiday - it was all very easy. All the restaurants we went to had excellent food - although we especially enjoyed The Jolly Sailor (Steak on a Stone-yum) and the Cabanas Grill - they were very friendly, helpful and the food was wonderful - everything in a short walk including a very lovely ice cream shop on the front - cinnamon ice cream is now on my last meal list! All in all a fantastic, relaxing holiday - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hope to return again soon.

Excellence in Cabanas
This is a delightful property. Everything lives up to the owners' description. They met us at the property & came each Mon. of our 6 week holiday to bring the change of linen & answer any questions we might have. The whole place was immaculately clean & the kitchen extremely well equipped. There is a light & airy feel to the rooms & as the kitchen opens onto the balcony, we could cook & look out at the same time! It also meant that we didn't get too warm when preparing meals. The walk to the "promenade" was a 5min. stroll & the choice of restaurants is good & varied. We tried almost every one & had good, reasonably-priced food every time. We recommend you to tryThe Canabas Brasserie & Pastalaria Jeronimo for 1st class food, but you will be spoilt for choice. Sue & John(the owners) run an excellent & professional business & we highly recommend the property to all ages. We thank them again. S.& R. W.

Cabanas
Excellent apartment in a very convenient location. Great service by owners and taxi company. Cabanas will suit people who want a quiet holiday - don't bring teenagers - there's very little for them to do. Check oiut Alfredos for his Piri piri prawns and clam dishes. Pedros has excellent steak. Avoid the catapalana - too messy and not worth the effort in any restaurant - local fish is always good. A day trip by ferry from castro Marim to Spain is excellent - try the tapas restaurants near the marina. Very safe environment and lovely people, both local and tourist.

Optimos dias em Cabanas
Uns dias muito bem passados, o apartamento está numa localização, sossegado, muito bem equipado, limpo e com acesso a uma bela piscina, pode-se ir a pé para a zona dos barcos( públicos ou privados) e ir para a praia, como ir de carro às praias da zona que fica a minutos. O comércio e restauração relativamente perto a pé. Adoramos e esperamos voltar. Obrigado a Sue e John por terem proporcionado uns dias de férias no vosso excelente apartamento.

Toller Familienurlaub!
Eine wirklich sehr gut ausgestattete und saubere Ferienwohnung, der man anmerkt, dass die Vermieter dort selbst einmal gewohnt haben. Die Poolanlage ist klein, aber auch sehr gepflegt. Wir haben nur den Pool direkt hinter der Wohnung genutzt. Die Vermieter sind unheimlich nett und super organisiert. Buchungsanfragen, Transfer und Sonderwünsche wurden sofort beantwortet. Die Lage der Wohnung ist zentral. Innerhalb weniger Minuten ist man fußläufig an der Promenade, bei 2 mittelgroßen Spar-Märkten und Geldautomaten, bei diversen Restaurants (gutes Essen und vergleichsweise günstig; z.B. Tagesfisch zu 11 €!) oder an der Bushaltestelle nach Tavira. Der familienfreundliche Strand ist per Boots-Taxi erreichbar (1,50 € pro Person hin und zurück; Kinder bis 10 Jahre umsonst), was jeden Tag schon ein kleines Highlight war.

Traumhafter Familienurlaub
Die Ferienwohnung erfüllt alle Ansprüche einer Familie. Man kann sich super selbst versorgen. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit Töpfen und allem was man braucht. Die 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder bieten ausreichend Platz für Eltern und Kinder. Es gibt sogar einen Safe. Der Mietwagen steht sicher auf den beleuchteten Stellplätzen unter dem Fenster der Wohnung. Das Zimmer unseres Sohnes hatte Poolblick. Täglich kann der Pool (und noch 3 weitere in der Anlage) genutzt werden. Perfekt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Sie begrüßen zur Schlüsselübergabe persönlich und geben Tips. Sue und John: Vielen Dank für die wunderbare Zeit in eurer tollen Ferienwohnung. Very thank you für the woderful time in your great appartment! Cabanas ist ein charmanter Ferienort mit vielen englischen Touristen. Die Strände der Umgebung sind traumhaft ruhig und nur per Boot zu erreichen. Dies ist aber eher ein Vorteil: Die Fahrt kostet nur 0,75 € pro Erwachsenen. Kinder sind frei. Dafür sind die Strände nicht überlaufen und man fährt jeden Tag Boot. Das fand unser Sohn besonders toll. Prädikat: absolut empfehlenswert

A spacious, bright and modern first-floor apartment, in a quiet location in delightful unspoiled Cabanas village. It's luxuriously furnished and appointed, with free WiFi, full air conditioning, and sunny west facing balcony with table & chairs and a retractable awning.
Please note that this apartment also has a second spacious bedroom (with double bed) and a second bathroom, so easily accommodates a further 2 people - do contact us for details and prices for use of this additional facility.
There's an excellent large communual swimming pool surrounded by gardens and paved areas, all very well maintained and seldom very busy. The apartment is situated less than 250 metres from the coast (much nearer than a lot of other properties offered in this area), where small shops, cafes, restaurants and little bars line the attractive water-front.
Wonderful Cabanas beach and all the other nearby beaches are huge, sandy, clean and unspoiled - among the best in Europe, all with Blue Flag status, and the warmest sea in Portugal! The beaches and coastline here form part of the beautiful Ria Formosa Natural Park.
A stay in Cabanas is perfect for those who wish to sample the traditional Algarve, but with the more desirable aspects of a modern holiday area. There are 3 medium-sized supermarkets in the village, and a daily market offering local fresh produce. Tavira town is approximately 4km away, easily reached by public transport, taxi, or a nice walk for the more energetic!
We can supply a baby's cot plus bedding, which is suitable for a baby up to 24 months old.
We live in Tavira and always meet our clients in person when they arrive at the apartment. We can arrange taxis for our clients' transfers from and to Faro Airport - or alternatively we are happy to collect clients from the local train station or bus station when they arrive.
