Zambujeira do Mar is a small fishing village of origin, located in the southwestern part of the Alentejo. The village is easy to reach with a 1.5 hour drive from Faro airport and 2.5 hours drive from Lisbon. The village is built on top of the cliffs on the Atlantic Ocean and has one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. No mass tourism, such as the Algarve, Zambujeira do Mar is especially popular with the Portuguese people themselves. You will not find big hotels and noisy bars , but there are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to relax and enjoy the sunset during dinner. The village is located in the Southwest National Park, thus there are strict building regulations and the village has kept its original character and charm. The house is perfect for those who love tranquility and nature, but do not want to be isolated in the countryside and want some coziness. Around In the vicinity of Zambujeira do Mar are many small beaches where you even in high season hardly meet anybody. The house is ideal for day trips in the area to explore ancient towns and villages and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Alentejo.
Our house is built in 2007 and located at the entrance of the village, 200 meters from the center and about 300 meters to Zambujeira's main beach. The house has a large living room with fireplace and an open kitchen equipped with a 4-burner gas cooker, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and microwave. On the first floor are two bedrooms, the main bedroom has a terrace. A staircase leads to the attic floor with another bedroom. The house has two bathrooms, one with a bath. A washing machine is available. At the back of the house is a terrace with a BBQ. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The house is also suitable for babies and small children , two baby-beds, a high chair and changing table are available. The house is tastefully furnished, excellent beds and satellite TV with all Dutch channels, as well as a DVD and audio system.
