Located on the beach between Cancun and Playa del Carmen in Riviera Maya. There is a shuttle available to both cities for a small fee. The Grand Mayan Resort is a premier non-all inclusive resort on a beautifully maintained property with lush, natural landscaping, a wonderful par 54 Nicklaus-designed 18-hole golf course, several pools 13 restaurants and a small store. Everything you need is at the resort, but Playa del Carmen is also just 20 minutes away. The spacious 1295 square foot suite has a living room with two sleeper sofas, dining room, full kitchen, a separate bedroom with king bed with its own sitting area including another sleeper sofa, one full bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub, a separate vanity area with sink, large TVs in living room and bedroom, and a balcony with lounges and a plunge pool to cool off in after a day in the sun. A spa, fitness center and tennis courts are also available. There is also a kids club for children from 5 to 12. The resort has a Cirque du Soleil theater across the highway showing the world premier of its new show, Joya.
The resort has flamingo and crocodile sanctuaries and they protect sea turtles in a special nesting area.
The 3-story houses are set in the jungle and are connected by beautiful wooden pathways. Colorful bids, iguanas and coatis may cross your way.
In addition, there is a shuttle to go around in the resort.
