The Puerto Vallarta Airport is only 12 miles away. Attend the hugely popular 'Sunday Market' on the marina front. 100's of people come for miles to attend this weekly event (Nov -April). You can also hit other nearby towns via a short bus or boat ride or drive. The city bus stop for all these places is just a few blocks away.
La Cruz is a great 'central' location, as it is midway between Puerto Vallarta to the south, and Punta Mita at the far end of the bay to the north.
Punta Mita is home to the famous Jack Nicklaus signature designed golf course and the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel complex. Other nearby towns include Bucerias with great authentic Mexican restaurants and shopping, or Nuevo Vallarta and Marina Vallarta.
