Tres Corazones is a private home sitting serenely on a small rise above La Misión’s beautiful, white, sandy shore. Stone terraces cascade down to a large deck just high enough above the beach to give you a feeling of privacy.
The day stretches out before you beckoning you to play in the sand and the surf. Surrounded by courtyards, patios and gardens there are plenty of places to escape to on a lazy afternoon. Perhaps you will simply read a book in the shade on the deck, a soft breeze ruffling the umbrella in your Piña Colada.
Large wood and wrought-iron gates sit in a twelve foot wall separating Tres Corazones from the La Misión village streets and adventures to be had in enchanting Mexico.
What to expect:
One of eight original homes built on Playa La Misión in the 1950’s, Tres Corazones has been carefully remodeled to reflect a contemporary lifestyle, while maintaining its original charm and splendor. Relax, allow yourself to be pampered by your surroundings, play, or stroll on the beach, enjoy the numerous terraces, courtyards, patios and gardens, or simply recline on the Tres Corazones ample beach side deck, as you watch the Pacific waves washing sunlit shores.
We have a concierge/caretaker, Cesar, who sees that all is running properly. Cesar works on the house unobtrusively but is available to help if you need him. A lot of care and love has gone into the restoration and remodeling of Tres Corazones to insure a comfortable stay for our family and our guests. We would love to include you in our growing list of friends and guests at Tres Corazones.
The Rooms:
Accommodations are designed to create a relaxing atmosphere. Our gracious rooms with double French doors open onto the exterior garden courtyard. There are four bedrooms:
La Gloria Suite :
The large beachfront master suite has our “Tres Corazones” fireplace and includes a bedroom with private full bath, kitchen, dining area, extra full bath off the kitchen, small reading library, and a great room with plenty of space to enjoy time with other guests or visitors from the neighborhood.
The Loft Suite :
The loft suite is a wonderful place to escape for time alone, or sit with your friends in front of the kiva fireplace. It’s a very comfortable and open space with sleeping up stairs and a full bath and living area down stairs. Watch the sun setting over the pacific, or sip your morning coffee on the private balcony overlooking the courtyard and the gorgeous ocean view.
La Misión Room :
La Misión Room is one of the two lovely bedrooms that open onto our private garden courtyard. With a queen sized bed and a private bath, this room is the perfect place to retire after a long day of sand and sun.
El Vaquero Room :
The Vaquero Room is the Tres Corazones “bunkhouse” . . . a great room for the kids after porpoise watching and sandcastle building, or for anyone who wants a place to settle in for the night. There is a private bath and two comfortable twin beds.
All the beds have luxurious pillow-top mattresses and each bedroom has its own private entrance to the exterior courtyard and patio areas including the master suite. Each bedroom has its own full bath and there is an extra full bath off the kitchen. The kitchen is completely furnished with a Bosch stove, microwave, toaster , oven, coffee maker, blender, etc.
Parking and Conveniences:
A 12 ft wall surrounds the road side perimeter of the property with two beautiful wood and iron gates that open to a large “U” shaped driveway and gardens. There is comfortable parking on the property for four cars. The concierge/caretaker, Cesar, Speaks , English and Spanish.
Linens are supplied but you will need to bring beach towels. A full list of things that are supplied and detailed info on your stay is sent to you after your final payment and prior to your stay.
Extras for a fee:
Tres Corazones offers plenty of extras to make your stay even more enjoyable. We want to share with you a few of our favorite things that have made visits to Tres Corazones special over the years. Please be sure to reserve them in advance of your stay.
Fresh Tortillas:
Fresh handmade tortillas delivered to you in the morning. Delicate and delicious flour tortillas $5.50 per dozen
Tamales delivered:
Savory handmade tamales in beef, chicken and pork, or dessert tamales in pineapple other dessert options available $1.25 each.
Mexican Breakfast or Lunch:
For a traditional Mexican style meal - $8 per head, $40 per meal Minimum. Cooking for one meal a day, breakfast or lunch only (includes prep and clean-up*). Menus are decided on ahead of time. Larger parties will require more than one maid. This price ($30) is 1⁄2 a days work for larger party prep and clean-up, is per maid required (the number of help required will depend on the size of the meal and amount of clean-up involved). Large events require more time and fuller staff. Our staff is trained for large events.
$8 per head, there is a $40 per meal + cost of food minimum Cooking for one meal a day, breakfast or lunch only (includes prep and clean-up*). Menus are decided on ahead of time.
Any adjustments to meals or people attending need to be handled through our concierge Cesar Mora. There is an additional service charge for changes that require trips to Rosarito + the cost of extra groceries.
Note: If the maid is already there for there for 1/2 or a full day, and the clean-up, and/or help with meal (assisting you with meals you have supplied and are cooking) fits within
the time you have hired her for, then there is no extra charge.
*One cook for 1-5 people, 6-8 people requires one person to help with prep and clean-up (extra $25). Ask for details for a party of more than 8 people. ie: guests for an evening that have other lodging.

Maid Service:
Providing a relaxing vacation away from the day to day tasks in your busy life is something that Tres Corazones takes very seriously. Why not spend more of your precious time- off doing the things that you enjoy and allow us to take care of the rest. Aside from the standard cleaning fee, we offer additional maid service for those who want to relax and experience what we like to call "los Tres Corazones hospitalidad."
There is an in and out cleaning fee depending on the length of your stay. Maid service, 2 times per week for stays of a week or more, is part of the cleaning fee. For additional maid service during your stay
· Clean bathrooms, wash towels, and change sheets as needed $30 1/2 day.
· Add - sweeping, mopping floors, thorough cleaning $45 full day .
· Help with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up, no cooking involved, this fee is per meal, $30.
· Larger groups will require more than one maid. The price ($30) is per maid required (the number of help required will depend on the size of the meal and amount of clean-up involved). Large events require more time and fuller staff. Our staff is trained for events large and small.

Fireplace wood: Wood for the fireplaces For those nippy spring and winter nights by the fire, you can bring your own fire wood or you can purchase wood from our supply $65 , for a 1⁄2 truck load $125 for a full truck load. Smaller amounts are available. Check with our concierge, Cesar Mora.
Events: More than 12 people constitute an EVENT.
We have trained staff and the facility for large and small “one evening only” events (weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), and information on lodging for event guests. Ask for more information.

There is a security deposit of $300, for stays of under one week; it is $500 for anything one week, or over. The deposit will be returned, un-cashed, upon the return of the key to Nanci Hunter, and a security check of the house. There is also a cleaning fee based on the length of your stay. Stays of one week or more include housekeeping two times a week in the fee.
The in and out cleaning fee is $180 for the whole house. Those staying a week or longer pay an additional $80.00 per week for the required two maid visits per week during your stay. For single rooms during the off season: the in and out fee is $80 each for the individual suites and $35 each for the bedrooms with bath.

Basic rate is for up to 8 person occupancy. There is a $25 charge per person (adults and teens) per night for over 8 in occupancy for stays up to one week..
