I have been coming to Jamaica with my family for 20 years. I have watched my kids grow up on this island and we have tried everything from the all inclusives to renting a villa but nothing has compared to our times in Negril and more specifically at Beach House Condos. My daughters are now 20 & 22 and I can say that thru the years we have always felt safe with them here as the staff has remained constant and I know that when the girls were in elementary school and even know Bull and Buju the two maintenance/beach workers always have their eyes on them. I think that if you want the full feel for Jamaica you need to stay on the beach somewhere and not the all inclusives as you really don't get to meet the people and feel the vibe of the island. Beach House in my opinion is the best spot on the 7 mile beach in that it is towards the end of the beach so not as busy and the condos are first rate when you still consider this is Jamaica. We just got back and have to say the changes that have been made under the new management are first class. The water pressure was great as well as the wifi and the attitude and service of everyone from the front desk to the bar tenders made us feel welcome. Thru the years we have stayed in many of the condos there and this time we stayed in the Ocean House which for our family was perfect. My wife and I were upstairs with our own studio with refrigerator and deck while my daughters were downstairs in the one bedroom apartment that we used for hanging out and meals. What we do is stop in town at the HiLo grocery store and get breakfast for most days and 1-2 days of lunch and maybe 1-2 dinners and the rest of the time we eat beef patties from the locals on the beach or fruit from the various vendors and of course eat in the restaraunt at Beach House or others on the Cliffs. After the week was done all 4 of us were so totally relaxed as it was the perfect medicine for a stressed out family. We will be back in the next year or so and we will be at Beach House.

I just got back from Negril last Thursday and I stayed at the Beach house for 5 days. The staff at the facility was great, the help you with anything you need. The restaurant onsite is really good, everything made fresh to order. This is the first time I traveled out the country and didn't stay on a big resort. This experience has changed my outlook. I will forever rent a condo. You get to experience the culture and different food. I would recommend this property. If you take multiple showers a day just let them know so you can get towels in advance.

Advantages: The property was great, the staff was accommodating, location great and love that the beach was practically at your door step. Spacious condo which is the first thing I look for when renting. I always go for rental with addition room and kitchen, I love to feel like I'm still at home plus more room for my 3 year to run around and be comfortable. I would definitely rent this condo again but probably not at their peak season for a better rate. Disadvantages: Need better communication between the property staff and the reservation office. we requested baby sitting services during our stay confirmed available but upon arrival was told the sitter could not be there until next day. However we were able to make contact with the sitter and picked her up as traffic congestion had prevented her from getting to the property. We also requested a late checkout time approved yet we were called at the regular checkout time advising us another renter was awaiting the property.
