Bella Vista is a lovely ancient villa, surrounded by extensive grounds, set in one of Tuscany’s most poetic locations, among Val d’Orcia’s gentle hills and wide, colorful, valleys. The villa’s original rural architecture is perfectly preserved, and completed with state-of-the-art modern facilities. The whole property offers superb views of the surrounding verdant hillside, dotted by quaint towns and parish churches.
Attentively restored by the owner, an accomplished Italian interior designer, the villa shows personality, understated elegance and authentic rustic beauty in each detail, from the ancient stone kitchen counter to the cozy colorful rugs and warm furnishings. Facilities include a small, fully equipped country-style kitchen, WIFI connection, DVD and CD player.
Splendidly set atop the hills, thanks to its thick ancient walls and the fresh country breezes the Villa remains cool and comfortable in the summer, though it does not have air-conditioning.
The grounds are extensive, comprising 30 acres of private woods and a bountiful vegetable garden and orchard. The property boasts a gorgeous 12x6 meter swimming pool (boiler-heated), conveniently equipped with a covered picnic area, charming straw changing hut and fridge; the pool is splendidly positioned and offers spellbinding views of the famed Val d’Orcia landscape. An exquisite outdoor vine-sheltered paved terrace, with built-in barbecue, seats up to 16 guests for dreamy sunset drinks, sun-kissed lunches and memorable dinners parties.
Thanks to its striking location, it offers the privacy and full comfort of a “home away from home” as well as innumerable engaging sightseeing and activity options.
Basic supplies are always available for free, such as mineral water, spices vinegars, coffee, napkins, toile paper, soap, candles, olive oil, produce from vegetable garden, jams, honey, etc.
Pool and hot tub heating heating with solar panels is included. If extra heat is needed, costs of propane is extra.
