Apartment Sleeps6Bedrooms2Bathrooms2Minimum Stay2 nightsVilla Tron Mioni stands on the Riviera del Brenta at Ca’ Tron: a place named after the Tron Venetian noble family who in this area owned an impressive villa also rapresented in Coronelli’s, Volkamer’s and Costa’s engravings. Built in the first decades of the 17th Century by Andrea Tron, the old villa was destroyed by fire by Napoleonic troops on the 19 November, 1797. Of the original buildings only the octagonal oratory remains, with its frescoed walls portraying the life of the Virgin, and its magnificent marble altar with three large statues of exquisite workmanship attributed to Filippo Parodi (1630-1707). The present villa and the barchessa (open barns) are the result of a complete rebuilding by the Carrara, a family from Bergamo that bought the original complex. The estate, enlarged by the acquisition of the land surrounding the villa and transformed into a flourishing farm, belonged to the Carrara family until the beginning of the 20th Century, when it passed to the Mioni family by marriage. The villa is still their permanent residence.

The entrance, facing a meadow, leads to the living-room with a kitchenette and a dining-room. A double room with its bathroom is at the same ground level, while the second double room - two beds can be united or separate - is upstairs as the second bathroom and wardrobe. Outside, a corner of the garden is of exclusive use of this flat and provided with table, chairs, and deck-chairs for dining or relaxing under the lime-trees.
THE HISTORIC GARDEN
The park that encloses the villa, the oratory and the "barchessa" has been designed following the example of a romantic garden of the 19th century and, from a naturalistic point of view, is one of the most attractive and interesting gardens in the Riviera del Brenta. Surrounded almost completely by antique walls, the park extends for about 5 hectares and includes a lovely pond, streams, artificial knolls, groves and tortuous paths to landscape zones and panoramic areas, wich typical of romantic sensibility. A melancholic ruin situated on the top of a small knoll, sheltered by secular plants, encloses the perfectly preserved "icehouse". In the garden are still cultivated some old varieties of fruit trees which produce juicy fruits for delicious home-made marmalades and jam.
