Carmine - Florence Holiday Rentals

Details

Home Description

The apartment Carmine is on the ground floor of an old building in the middle of Via del Leone, a street in the traditional Oltrarno area of Florence, known to be one of the many small and quiet backstreets behind Piazza del Carmine. The apartment faces onto an internal courtyard allowing the property to be peaceful and quiet, which is not always easy to come by when in the centre of Florence. The guests will find many art and craft shops, wine bars and "enoteca", restaurants, pharmacies and artisan workshops close by as well as the main cultural attractions within an 20 - 30 minute walking distance. The (110 sq.mt/1184 sq.ft) apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathroomsmand can sleep up to 4 people.

The entrance to the apartment opens out into the cosy and spacious living room which has been elegantly furnished and painted and is very bright thanks to the french door which opens out onto the internal courtyard and the addition of 2 large mirrors. In this main room the guests will find a comfortable sofa facing the tv and behind the sofa the dining table which seats 6. From this room a corridor leads onto the traditional kitchen with attractive blue and white ceramic tiles and separate pantry with medium sized fridge-freezer. Further on down the corridor you will find the double bedroom, furnished based on a green theme where you will find a bed (120 cm wide), patio door on to the internal courtyard, the en-suite bathroom complete with tub and hand held shower. There is a spiral staircase which leads to storage space. Please note that at the top of the staircase the ceiling is very low and access can be a little limiting.

A few meters further on along the corridor you will come to the very bright master bedroom which has been furnished based on a ""marine"" theme with the main colours being white and blue. Next door to this bedroom the guests will find a small bathroom with shower (no shower box though). Both bedrooms are very peaceful as the master bedroom only has a skylight so no windows look out on to the road, whereas the second bedroom has a patio door that opens out onto the internal courtyard. The apartment has ample storage space and boasts traditional wooden beamed ceilings and original Florentine cotto floors, apart from the bathrooms where you will find marble tiles. The wooden ceilings along with the indirect light fittings create a very cosy and warm atmosphere.
