Air conditioning, Swimming pool, whirlpool spa, tensile facilities, a large park with mature trees and a fabulous view form the outline of a large period property with 12 beds and all the comforts for unforgettable moments and organizing dream weddings .
The owner's wife graduated Chef is available for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and cooking classes. Upon your arrival as a welcome gift of a bottle of Tuscan wines.
Villa Portoverde has Air Conditioning, 1 wide living-rooms, 1 kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms internal of external and 2 bathrooms, for a total of 10+2 beds. Enchanted by the astonishing sights of Foiano and Cortona, the Villa fills an area of 450 square meters, of which the native part about 230. The Villa has been built in 1925 and enlarged in 1999, during which was performed a careful restauration of the native part. A new global restauration has been done during 2010. The original part is completely independent to tourists while the expansion in is occupied by the owner and his wife who guarantee maximum privacy and offer concierge service to tourists, garden, swimming pool and whirlpool are for the exclusive use of tourists.
In axis with the house lies the beautiful swimming pool with Roman staircase (6x12 meters) and the original wood-and- bricks porch. At one side of the pool there is a large whirlpool tub for exteriors (SPA) with 6 places for lying down with a heater, ozonator, waterfall and whirlpool 2-speed and 32 jets. The heater allows to use the bathtub also during low and middle seasons.
In a garden corner there is a beautiful beaten iron gazebo with mosaic table and woodchairs. Behind a wooden porch there is a florentine octagonal fountain. We offer you a relaxing vacation in complete contact with the nature and the beauty of the Tuscany country, characterized by the green of the hills, the sublime wine and excellent cuisine.
The Villa, set in quiet position, has an elevated level of quality of fur-nishings, distemperings, floorings and coverings. The Villa is accessed through two gates in beaten iron with an automatic-distance opening and a pedonal access, and is surrounded by an ample garden of 5.000 square meters, entirely fenced by great and original Tuscan "Cotto" pitchers, secular trees, cast iron benches and lamp-posts.
The space can be used for outdoor weddings and receptions since there is a marquee that can accommodate tables and chairs for about 300 people. On the wide green space is possible to play soccer - even land with a helicopter! The parking has numerous spaces among which 4 covered autolot with beautiful beaten-iron platform. Adjacent to the fenced garden you can access to a 6000 square meters ground planted with typical tuscany forest trees. It can be used like car parking for weddings and events.
THE GROUND FLOOR
Through the main entrance leads to the living-room composed of great and original fireplace with seats on either side, room furnished with valuable new or antique table and chairs for 12 seats, sitting area with 4 large sofas, TV with satellite, VHS VCR, DVD player, radio and a porch with wicker chairs near the entrance there is a large kitchen with dining included a dishwasher, oven-plate, microwave, freezer and maxifrigo with ice dispenser and cold water, TV with VHS and bathroom with shower. Outside in the annexe are placed outside the 2 bathrooms, one with washing machine, near the kitchen there is a beautiful wooden gazebo with iron tables antique marble and wrought iron chairs with 12 seats.
THE FIRST FLOOR
The sleeping zone is accessed by staircases in "pietra serena", and offers 2 double rooms, the master bedroom has a safe, TV, a covered terrace with table and chairs, wooden chairs, single bed and a single sofa bed furnished with valuable antiques. The second double bedroom has a TV and Art Deco style furniture, bathroom with mosaic tiling has a bath and shower in original antique cast iron double sink housed in a single piece of Carrara marble. The plan also has safe wall. On request available 2 beds for children, a crib and a highchair. All the bathrooms are supplied with seat watercloses and bidet.
THE SECOND FLOOR - Mansard
The attic area is accessed via an ancient brick stairs, where there are 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and the other coupled double bedroom with 2 single beds added. The bathroom with mosaic tiling consists of sink, vessel seat, bidet and shower. On request available 2 beds for children and a crib.
