tecogenano is one of the most beautiful valleys in Tuscany. It is located 4 kilometers from the beautiful ancient Etruscan hill top town of Cortona. From Tecognano there is a footpath from the Roman era that will bring you to Cortona within 40 minutes.

Fattoria Tecognano Casa Contadini, ((website: hidden)) is very centrally located and ideal for those who wish to explore Tuscany's wine regions or for taking day trips to Arezzo, Florence, Perugia, Rome. Florence and Siena. Major highways are a 4-mile drive away with a train station in Camucia 2 miles away and another train station in Terontola 4 miles away. (More trains run at this station) /> There is also a car rental agency in Terontola along with village shops and services.
Fattoria Tecognano Casa Contadini constructed in the 18th century, sits on over 5 acres of private land. It is very quite and peaceful with outstanding views of the Val di Chiana. It has been totally remodeled retaining all the original features: beautiful chestnut beam ceilings, handmade terra cotto floors. It is very traditional, very charming and very comfortable. On the ground floor there is also a very large “play” room, fireplace, a kitchen, large dining room and bathroom with shower, all which are available for your enjoyment.
The apartments were named after the two-contadini families (email: hidden)d in the house. They were “sharecroppers” working the land for the Padrone (boss/owner).
The first apartment, "The Bugossi" has 3 separate bedrooms, accommodating 6 people. Two bedrooms have double beds and 1 bedroom has 2 twins. There is a spacious living/dining room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with tub and shower, (also another bathroom downstairs) Rents for E110.00 per night
The second apartment "The Ziraia" can accommodate 4 people; there is one double bedroom, a living/dining room with fireplace (including bunk beds), a separate kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. Rents for Euro 75.00 per night. If a group rental of both apartments we offer a discounted rate for a weeks stay.
Garden/Outdoor Space: There is a beautiful spacious garden with incredible views; the outdoor area has tables for dining al fresco. There is a wood-burning oven to make pizza or other delicious meals while taking in the valley view. A few meters from the house lies the pool, also set in a panoramic position.
Swimming pool: 10 x 5 x 14 meters, with sun umbrellas and sun beds. ?
Laundry Room: Washing machine, ironing board, iron.
