Porto Rafael was founded by the Spanish Count Rafael Neville in the 60s after having sailed in the crystal clear water of the Maddalena’s archipelago. He found the perfect place: a beautiful granite coastline full of self sown vegetation and many little beaches where the admiral Nelson dropped anchor in the 1800. My property has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a small living room as the main living area is the terrace where you find a large table and a singular nice kitchen. 30 steps far from the main house, I also have a studio, perfect for 2 person with kitchen and bathroom and a little terrace, where the guests can eat. The studio has an extra budget. Besides the ‘piazzetta’ and its beach, you can also walk to a couple of different beaches, perfect for families and children. Walking distance there is also a little lovely harbour where you can rent a rubber dinghy or organize tours to the archipelago’s beauties (Budelli Island and its ‘pink’ beach, Spargi Is., La Maddalena Is.
