The large garden and terraces make it ideal for families with smaller children. The villa has a good-sized private pool, not overlooked from any direction, and distant sea views. There is also a permanent barbecue and a good range of outside furniture for the al fresco life which is such a key part of a holiday in Greece.
Villa Maria occupies a quiet position in the hamlet of Zernatika, between Fontana and the coastal village of Loggos. Loggos can be reached on foot by a pleasant 25 minute stroll along footpaths through the olive groves, while Fontana is walkable in 15 minutes or so. Loggos has a variety of tavernas, cafes and mini-markets as well as its own bakery, while Fontana has added a snack bar and a small grocery to its long-standing taverna Dolos. There is also a small taverna in Zernatika itself, just a short walk from Maria.
The villa consists of an open-plan living room/kitchen, with full oven with hobs and dining table and chairs. Two sets of French windows open onto a terrace with sea views, and the room is air-conditioned. The front door leads directly onto a large terrace, from which steps lead down to the pool. An internal door leads from the living room/kitchen into two bedrooms, one double and one twin, which are separated by the bathroom (with shower). Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and the master double bedroom has a French window leading onto a small rear terrace.
