Minimum StayLovely views, but wouldn’t return
We arrived at villa Magdalani and saw the views from the pool which were lovely. When we looked around the villa it needed a proper clean. We found all the plates and cutlery needed washing up, bits of food on the plates and stains stuck on the cups. During our stay the cleaners came halfway through and stayed for 45 mins, you can’t clean a 3 bedroom villa in such a short amount of time! The villa is advertised with table tennis but there were overgrown leaves hanging down over it so impossible to play. The problems we found during our stay: bed slats on double bed downstairs were broken (kept falling off), bedside tables broken, shower tray in downstairs en-suite when having a shower water didn’t run away, downstairs toilet broken (unable to flush unless you lifted the top off the toilet), dishwasher didn’t work, outside light by bbq wasn’t working so unable use in the evening, curtains in the lounge were hanging off in the corners, the villa in all was run down. We did report these problems but nothing was fixed during our stay. The day before leaving the gardener turned up and cut back all the plants overhanging the table tennis area and also the entrance to the villa which had been a nightmare to drive through due to being so overgrown. Overall very disappointed as I love kefalonia and thought we would be comfortable in a villa, but near the end wanted to come home. To add insult to injury we were charged £20 for not taking out rubbish. We had to leave the villa at 10am our flight was in the evening so had a full car. We emptied the rubbish and left it outside the door of the villa tied up in a plastic bag for the cleaners to dispose of. We washed up so left the villa tidy, we have never not had our full refund returned before. Overall very disappointed.

Villa Magdalani is on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. The largest of the Ionian Islands. Mount Ainos‘s spectacular backdrop provides the ideal setting for a perfect holiday retreat. It is a 2 story luxury family villa offering a high standard of accommodation in a peaceful setting amongst olive groves within the beautiful Greek village, Lourdas. Lourdas, due to it’s central position (this region allows accessibility to all areas of Kefalonia within 1hr drive) tends to be one of the most sought after locations on the whole of this idyllic island.
Villa Magdalani has its own private 9x4m pool (1.80m deep end, 0.8 shallow end). It comprises of 2 double bedrooms with king size beds,(1 on ground floor), 1 twin bedroom, all with luxury en-suite bathroom/shower rooms, fully air-conditioned, large living area with TV,DVD player, PS2, and feature fireplace, dining area, fully fitted kitchen with hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and coffee maker. A popular table tennis table is situated at the back of the villa.
The living area opens out onto the covered terrace overlooking the patio area including sun loungers and pergola offering dappled shade, pool and pretty garden.
The established garden contains orange, lemon and grapefruit trees.The villa faces south to the ocean and the Island of Zante beyond, with panoramic views of the Ionian sea.
