Berry sur Cher is a charming house C1890 set in a lovely park full of trees and gardens and a fish pond- a calm and quiet place. It is in a little village where you will find merchants to meet your daily needs - butcher, baker, small grocery and a pharmacy. You will find the area rich in chateaux and vineyards, historic homes (Balzac, George Sand, Leonardo DiVinci), and the Zoo Beauval. You can taste wine or cheese, go for a nice walk in forests or along the Canal du Berry, or ride bikes along the Cher or Loire...or just sit in our garden and read a good book.
The house is spacious and beautifully decorated in vintage embroidered fabrics and toiles de Jouy and antiques and art. The bedrooms are upstairs: the Red Room has a beamed ceiling, French doors to a Juliet balcony, a 160 large double bed, and an ensuite dressing room with armoire and a spacious bathroom with shower/tub. the Blue Room/suite is
for one person, with a single bed, foyer with closets, and a lovely bath with shower. There is also the option to take the entire floor, with the 2 bedrooms mentioned, and a third bedroom (the Grey Room) with 2 twin beds (sharing the other bathrooms), and a large family room with sofas, TV, DVD, games and puzzles.(max 5 persons). Breakfast is included.
Dinner is available upon request, 18 Euros/person, wine included.
