This is an old stone- built house with a shady central courtyard, located in a quiet street just off the main square, and perfect for all amenities. It has a small front garden with a large orange tree and private parking. Rennovated and equipped to offer modern conveniences and comfort, it retains its charm and unique character.
The house has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 -8 guests (two bedrooms with double bed, one bedroom with twin beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge plus an occasional bed and a cot if needed).
On one side of the courtyard is the lounge, with a spacious sunny terrace of 30 m2 above and an open cellar, with ping-pong, below. On the other side, the kitchen and dining area are on the first floor. On the second floor are one double bedroom, a bathroom (with bath and wc) and a separate wc. On the third floor are two bedrooms . On the ground floor is a shower room and wc. Heating is by wood-burning stoves and by electric radiators in each room. There are views of Mont Canigou and the suttounding mountains from the terrace and upper windows. There is space for a small car or trailer in the garage.
Prades is a small market town 45km west of Perpignan, in a sunny valley at the base of the Pyrenees and close to the iconic Mont Canigou. The scenery is stunning and varied. To the east are orchards, vineyards and olive trees, leading to the mediterranean beaches; to the west are the mountains, with spectacular scenery, caves, gorges and warm springs. It has regular train and bus srevices.
