Luxury L Hirondelle Home - Beziers Holiday Rentals

Details

Home Description

L'Hirondelle is French for the swallow. These birds visit the Capestang and the surrounding area each summer to rear their families and can often be seen performing their aerobatics against the backdrop of an azure sky. This not just a house, it is also our French home, where we live when we are in France. To this end we spent over 4 years in respect of the design, renovation and equipping our home to the highest possible standards within our means in the firm belief that what makes us happy will also make you happy. Our house is mostly stone built and terraced. Having good modern insulation it is comparatively cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This is augmented by reversible heating and cooling to the main living area and the three bedrooms. A wood burning stove gives added heat and comfort in the coldest months. We have a lovely secluded garden set out with vines, citrus trees and an olive tree with flower borders and a spa pool with a furnished terraced area with a barbecue to help you enjoy the lovely warm evenings, and cool off in the pool.  We are close to bars, restaurants, shops and other amenities of the vibrant yet calming village centre full of old world French charm; all of which can be reached easily on foot. The 'street view' will give you an idea what we started with. \"Lovely French Home\"

Spent 2 weeks enjoying this well appointed, beautifully furnished, comfortable house in our favourite friendly French village. The garden hot tub was very relaxing although the sun did not reach it until after midday in September. We have been visiting this village for many years so know it well and this house is in a very good position within a short walk to the village centre and Canal du Midi.

Gem of a village house with a lovely yard

The house is a perfect balance of convenience- right in the lovely village of Capestang, minutes by foot to he Canal du Midi, and luxury. The house was spacious and light, with ever detail taken care of. Our children enjoyed the garden, even in the winter time, and we enjoyed being able to sip our wine inside and watch them! We found Capestang to be a convenient to explore the area as well. Mike is more than a landlord, he's a guide, expert the region, and went well beyond the call of duty to make our stay a good one.

A lovely week in Capestang

It has been a few years since we stayed in Capestang, the village has not changed. We arrived in Mid-October and stayed in this well presented house with every up to date amenity. It is located within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. An ideal location for exploring this part of France.
