Causses-et-Veyran is a tranquil village but has a bar, bakery, football pitch, children’s park and a tennis court. A short drive will take you to a good selection of large supermarkets, restaurants, bars and shops. The house is about 8 miles north of the city of Beziers and only 12 miles from the airport. The main beach resorts of Valras Plage and Vias are about 15 miles away with clean seas and miles of golden sands. Valras has a large children's play area on the beach for hours of fun. A must for the area is the Canoe trip, run from Roquebrun and takes in some fantastic scenery and an excellent day out. The area is great for walking, running cycling, climbing and out door pursuits. If you like to drive Calais is about 625 miles away which includes views of the Loire Valley, Dordogne,Tarn gorges and the fantastic Millau bridge. To enjoy this area you will need a car, the list of attractions are endless. A trip to the Saint Chinnian market on a Sunday morning and then off to Roquebrun to cool off in the clean cool waters of the River Orb, taking in the fantastic mountain views.
