house is a splendid place
This house is a splendid place to spend a week of family-time, away from our normal fast-paced, hectic lifestyle. The pool was just perfect for cooling off in the intense Burgundy sunshine. An experience not to be missed, thank-you for sharing your house!

What a wonderful holiday!
What a wonderful holiday! Thank you for allowing us to use your home, which has obviously been lovingly restored. We have all enjoyed our excursions to the surrounding areas, to the Morvan, Sancerre, Pouilly-sur-Loire and many others. We have had much pleasure watching the swallows, swifts and gold finches. The weather has been beautiful and we have loved having the pool to swim in each day. Your house is lovely with some distinctive pieces of furniture. We were fascinated to see your book of how you transformed the house into the present style – so light with beautiful colours, textures and fabrics. All your wonderful books and music have given our summer quite a cultural flavour. Our visits to surrounding towns of interest and the wonderful restaurants nearby have made our stay so enjoyable.

Located in the middle of Burgundy with spectacular Vineyards and landscapes, the beautiful property is ideally placed within a short distance from Beaune and Chablis. There are several popular attractions nearby, rich in French tradition and history.
This magnificent nineteenth century Maison Bourgois, refurbished by the architect owner, has maintained all its old beauty and charm with tiled floors and a few selected colours. The property is well equipped with all modern facilities that make it comfortable, elegant and cosy. There are five large bedrooms with silk curtains and antique furniture.
The dining room for ten individuals is open to an equipped kitchen. There is a living room with a large stone fireplace, 2 double patio doors and a grand piano. The house is completely for you with an own swimming pool and stunning 4000 m2 - 40.000 square feet landscaped garden and covered by the stone walls.
There is a map on the grand piano available in the living room, which indicates where to dine, buy and visit. High-speed Wi-Fi internet is installed. Restaurants, bars and shops are located within a walking distance.
