Private property, located in the southwest part of the town of Sainte-Eulalie, Bonlieu Abbey was founded in 1141 by the monk Sicaire, "brother" Baron Gaston de Montferrand. According to the charter of the foundation, Infiltrator is committed to clearing the land allocated to it and build a convent, chapel and hospital. During the wars between the Franceand England, the abbey was sacked and the original buildings totally destroyed by fire. Rebuilt, it definitely became private property in the sale of national assets under the Revolution. Thus over time, the abbey Bonlieu she has undergone changes, but is still some traces of the ancient monastic buildings, a courtyard at the site of the old cloister, two pillars of the old chapel destroyed some original monks' dormitory windows ..devenu a charming dormitory for the children!
