A perfect warm and cosy autumn/winter retreat with all the comforts of home. After a leisurely walk along the headland overlooking the Atlantic at Bude, return home, draw the curtains and curl up in front of the fire with a glass of wine, video from the library or a good book!
Enjoy Christmas/New Year a very special time of the year with a glass of mulled wine while the Christmas Tree lights twinkle with your beautifully wrapped presents beneath! Just Perfect! Waitrose will delivery or if you wish to choose your own groceries Waitrose is 5 mins away, alternatively you can enjoy Christmas Lunch at Rydon Inn Holsworthy, where the Christmas menu caters for all. The ingredients are all locally sourced and freshly cooked. I have a copy of the menu and reservation details if you are interested.
Megan's Lodge is a detached Lodge in the grounds of my home to the right through remotely controlled gates, away from main house (remote zapper will be provided on arrival) Parking for one car. Megan's Lodge is a Non Smoking property that has been set up as a cosy home from home to a very high standard, yet private and with no other neighbours. Much thought has been given into making your holiday as comfortable and carefree as possible, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy all this beautiful coastal area has to offer. Megan's Lodge is a warm, double glazed and centrally heated cottage making it an ideal year round destination. If you arrive late & tired do not worry, basic starter pack is included comprising of tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc. plus a few nice surprises! The open plan living has a very well equipped kitchen and dining area including a cosy relaxing lounge area with a comfortable sofa, facing the fireplace with a remote controlled log effect fire. Remote controlled TV, DVD and C.D. Player with speakers. The cosy but very spacious bedroom is upstairs where a super king sized bed awaits.(can be made in up as two singles on request) The bathroom with bath and shower is downstairs off the hall. Central Heating is on Autumn, Winter, Spring and cooler Summers giving warm ambient temperarure throughout.
Outside is a stoned sitting area with table, chairs, umbrella and Weber charcoal BBQ, overlooking fields towards the river where you can relax with a glass on wine on summer evenings.
Megan's Lodge is particular suitable for couples of all ages looking for the comforts of home and relaxing evenings after a busy day enjoying all this area has to offer. Cot/high chair available on request for babies, but bedding not provided.
A jay-be folding bed with sprung wooden slates and an air flow mattress is also available on request with bedding provided, for child 10+, sharing bedroom with parents, this carries a small charge, for extra bedding and towels.
