About The Area
From the house you can see the unspoiled rolling hills, lake, mountain, Motovun and its truffle forests below and also other Venetian-built hilltop towns. The views are quite stunning, especially from our ‘baladur’, a traditional terracotta-roofed open terrace, which faces south and overlooks the pool and garden. We have provided a large hardwood table and chairs on our ‘baladur’ and it is used as an extra summer living and dining space. Our guests mention this again and again as their favourite place to relax, listen to the birdsong (including nightingales in the spring), watch the changing light and sunsets over the rows of vines and olive groves, and let the world go by.
There are actually plenty of activities and cultural places of interest around and there is also the possibility of an active holiday, as the area is perfect for cycling, rambling, hiking and paragliding.
The area is well known as a centre for quality home produced air dried ham, olive oil, wine and truffles (which you can hunt yourself) and we can recommend local events and restaurants.
4 Star ‘Villa Klarici for Two’ is an ideal hideout for couples to ‘Get Away From It All’. It is a typical Istrian stone house, perched on a hill near Motovun in Northern / Central Istria, Croatia, in a spectacularly beautiful location not far from the borders with Slovenia and Italy.
The house itself is built of the local honey-coloured stone and has its own private pool, BBQ and Mediterranean-style garden. There is one large bedroom and the whole spacious detached property, pool and garden is for the sole use of our guests. You do not share any facility with anyone else.
We have added a modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, wifi plus full air conditioning, but were careful to preserve the traditional features of an Istrian house, with its beams, open-face stone walls, wooden and stone lintels and terracotta tiles.

Suitability
Honeymoons and Romantic Breaks for couples / 2 people. A relaxing break for 2 people.
Our guests are usually couples, sometimes on their honeymoon, sometimes taking a break from the rat race or just trying a new holiday location together. Sometimes 2 friends will want to stay and separate sleeping arrangements can be made.
Although the bedroom, shower room, kitchen are downstairs, the living room and large terrace are upstairs. The garden and pool are crazy paved and gravelled, with steps at the pool patio, which means the house and garden are not suitable for wheelchairs and for those unable to climb steps or stairs.
