A wonderful holiday
Coming to Villa Anita, was like arriving home. Anita and her husband, the owners, were ever so kind to prepare the most enjoyable Croatian lunch for us. It was a welcome that set the scene for a wonderful holiday. The villa was spotlessly clean with plenty of space for all the family to chill out. The beds were comfortable with a good supply of quality linens and towels to cater for the needs of all six guests. Villa Anita is conveniently located within easy access to the old town and the many the beaches of Dubrovnik. Getting around on the local buses was easy and people were always wiling to help when you were not sure of your destination. Anita was always helpful with our requests and provided us with plenty of useful information. We enjoyed staying in Villa Anita and we recommend it as a great location for a family holiday to Croatia. Dubrovnik offers something for all the family, great restaurants, great beaches, great nightlife...great location.

Arelax stay in this beautiful town.
The house is just under the Dubrovnik bridge, really close to Dubrovnik and ideal for a relax stay in this beautiful town. What we've really appreciated is the view from the terrace, the closer river where you can swim, the small garden with the Jacuzzi and the night when you can make your BBQ and enjoy the comfortable house as Croatians people do. I strongly recommend this house for discovering Dubrovnik and the neighborhood !

I would highly recommend
My 5 friends and I stayed here for one week. The host was very accommodating and was there to meet us on arrival. She had prepared lunch which was a lovely surprise. The house and it surroundings were beautiful. Comfortably fits 6. Everything was very clean. Fresh towels and sheets. Hot tub was amazing. If we ever had a question the host was only a phone call away and was quick to answer. Easy access into Dubrovnik with bus stop right at house. I would highly recommend staying here! I can't wait to return to Dubrovnik!

Our little home from home
We arrived at Villa Anita just before mid day and we were warmly greeted by the lovely Anita herself. The villa had only just been vacated by the previous occupants, so while Anita and her husband cleaned and made it ready for us she left us in the hands of our friendly waiter Joseph at the local restaurant/pizzeria Bonaca where Anita treated us to drinks and a very enjoyable local delicacy. (She also left us wine, cheese and ham as a welcome gift in the villa). The Villa is a delight. Very spacious, well equipped and spotless. With an abundance of fresh linen and towels. The beds are extremely comfortable and the sea view is to die for from the little balcony. What can we say about the courtyard and gardens.. just beautiful with lots of greenery and fruit trees, again well equipped with plenty of different seating areas and a large table to enable us to eat outside. The hot tub is an added bonus and we used it to its full potential. We spent a whole day lounging and relaxing in the garden ready for our trip into Dubrovnik for our evening meal. The buses and taxi's are easily accessable, frequent and reasonable. We spent a day shopping in Dubrovnik, the shops, cafe/bistro's are wonderful. Everywhere is clean and bright.. there is so much to take in. The cable car is a must, the views of Dubrovnik and surrounding Islands are breathtaking. You have to visit Dubrovnik at night. The atmosphere is wonderful. The ancient city walls are lit up, it is magical. We found one of the two Buza bars which is built into a cliff. The sun-set was spectacular. Another must see.. There is a vast array of restaurants to choose from, we were spoilt for choice. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Anita. It was a truly wonderful experience for all of us. Somewhere to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bussle of life and yet not far away from one of the most beautiful Cities we have ever visited. We would definitely come back and stay here, it is a hidden gem. Anita is so helpful and always available for advise. 100% all round.

A very nice time
My family and I had a very nice time at Villa Anita, Maja was not there but the owner of the house greeted us warmly with welcome lunch and all we needed (thanx again Anita!!). House is a bit outcentered from Dubrovnic which allows to escape from the crowd (perfect for a family holiday). And in any case, bus station is right down the house. Bad luck for us, whether was bad but even then we enjoyed the Jacuzzi after a long day of visiting :)

A perfect getaway retreat to unwind with friends
4 of us stayed here for 4 nights. Villa spacious & has everything you need. Views are beautiful. Anita herself very helpful and attentive providing some lovely food & drink For our arrival. Great restaurant literally on doorstep. We loved it. If you want to visit any of the islands ask Anita as she can arrange boat from right in front of harbour... Will be far better than going into Dubrovnik harbour to arrange. All in all a chilled out time. We loved it.

BBQ, garden, close to Dubrovnik - brilliant
Fantastic place, close to the city with beautiful garden/BBQ, and even a small hot-tub. Anita was extremely friendly and helpful, and had a welcome lunch/BBQ prepared for us. Its a short bus into the city, but very easy from the house. Three rooms all very clean, wifi, tv, two bathrooms, plenty of space. Everything you could need. Place also has nice view of the sea, and is quieter than places in town. Great value for money compared to places near the old town. I’d go back in a second.

Anita and the Villa Anita Deserve 25 stars!!!
We just returned two days ago from 8 glorious days at the Villa Anita in Sustjepan, Dubrovnik Croatia. It's approx. a 15 minute drive to Old Town but if you do not rent a car, there is a bus stop right there that runs every 5-15 minutes to Old Town and other areas around Dubrovnik. There is also a fabulous restaurant, the Konoba Bonaca,a fabulous view of the river and all of the huge yachts that go by. To make the review easier and to keep me from writing a short story, I will bullet point a few of the high points. Although, there really is not enough room to really write how much we enjoyed our stay. * Being a former travel consultant (over 25 years), I love to research where I'm going to stay and find out what it has to offer. After researching almost 280 properties, I realized that I kept coming back to this one. So happy that I did!! * Anita is wonderful in her response times and assistance from the start to finish. With the time difference, that is amazing!! * On arrival, she had a lovely cheese, fresh bread and prosciutto tray waiting for us, along with a surprise bottle of wine for my birthday!! After 3 flights and Croatia losing our luggage (for the next 2 and 3 days), this was an absolute joy!! * There are fruit trees everywhere!! I am envious of anyone staying the end of September or in October because they will enjoy grapes, kiwi, limes, oranges, persimmon! * If you need herbs for your recipe, out by the fence there is rosemary, thyme, mint and more. The smells were fabulous!! * We didn't use it, but after a long day of walking and touring, there is an inflatable hot tub (it's really cool!!!) under the orange tree. We did nap in the hammock a few times. * There are gorgeous views from the upstairs windows, and balcony. * There are plenty of dishes, cooking utensils and pots and pans, hot pot and accessories to make homemade meals. * Approx. 5 minutes down the road there is a chain grocery, Konzum Market, and just a couple minutes past that you will find a gas station. * Everything was so crisp and fresh!! * There is a computer upstairs that she allows you to use and free Wi-Fi! This was Godsend during the trauma of finding our luggage. She also offers international channels, like HBO * The patio is gorgeous and there are 4 cozy chairs outside to relax with a glass of wine. * There is personalized air conditioning in the bedrooms, plenty of blankets and pillows. Note: Take care! This is actually Anita's girlhood home!! How amazing is that!! There is so much more, but this will give you an idea of how wonderful it is here. Go with the thought: I am going to have a fabulous time and not worry about a thing and you will have the trip of a lifetime. (We started the trip with no luggage). But we did the: be polite, be kind, be sweet train of thought and were treated like celebrities everywhere we went!! Thank you Anita!! We will be back!!!
