Absolutely bowled over with Croatia
We were absolutely bowled over with Croatia, and couldn't have had a better base for all we wanted to do. The apartment is lovely and very well equipped - what an amazing view from the balcony! We managed to visit Montenegro and Bosnia under our own steam as well as enjoying Cavtat,Mlini and Dubrovnik..almost forgot to mention the amazing bus service. There is absolutely no need to hire a car if all you want to do is stay within the local area. Obviously, our intention was to explore further afield. We will certainly recommend the apartment to family and friends. Many thanks for making it so easy for us.

Apartment
The apartment offers magnificent views of Cavtat bay and islands. Cavtat is a small medieval town and precursor of Dubrovnik. It is a beautiful resort with lush vegetation, a palm-lined promenade, charming pavement cafes, traditional restaurants, shops, lively bars, attractive beaches and old architecture. The Franciscan monastery, Bukovac art gallery and 5km pine forest walk are just a few of its many attractions.
There are also carnivals and cultural festivals held throughout the year. For the more adventurous, there is a wide range of sporting activities including scuba diving, aquatic sports, hiking, Jeep safaris and island cruises.
Dubrovnik, a treasure trove of architecture and culture, can be reached by a leisurely 20 minute boat trip from Cavtat or a bus ride along the picturesque coastline. With its stunning views, marble paved streets, narrow alleyways, cosmopolitan cafes and restaurants, it lives up to its well deserved title, the 'Pearl of the Adriatic'.
In nearby Konavle, visitors are invited to try their hand at traditional silk production, whilst Cilipe is famous for it's carefully preserved folk customs, rich national costumes, embroidery and weekly folk dances. The picturesque resorts of Milini and Plat, dotted along the coastline between Cavtat and Dubrovnik, offers secluded coves and beaches set in tranquil surroundings.
Just a few of the many tours and excursions from Cavtat:
Island cruises to 3 largest of the beautiful Elaphite Islands (Kolocep, Sipan and Lopud). Visit 15th century church of our Mary and museum, and swim in crystal clear shallow lagoons.
Dubrovnik Panarama and site seeing excursions (15 mins away).
Full day tour in Montenegro (20 min drive to border), renowned for stunning scenery and picturesque towns.
Visit to the vineyards of the lovely Peljesac Peninsula.
Medugorje - Famous place of pilgramage (2hr drive).
