We've rented the Dream Villa on the island of Brac in Croatia from July 20-27th. Unfortunately we were very unhappy there, because the way to the maisonnette was so steep and unpaved, that we could not drive uphill. Also, parking uphill was no option, because the road was part of the property of the neighbour, who wouldn't be able to reach his home if we would be parked there. Besides that, the solar heating system was insufficient to get us through the night and the additional generator didn't work at all. Therefore, we didn't have electricity from 23 PM onwards until 9 AM when the sun would be strong enough to get some electricity into the house again. As a result of these shortcomings, we were forced to leave the maisonnette after two nights and look for another holiday house. We've discussed this issue with the local manager of the property, who wouldn't know anything about a refund. We've re-read the Internet pages of the Dream Villa, and we suggest that the unpaved steep road will be added, as well as the shortage of electricity, so that people can make an informed decision about this property. Besides that, we requested a refund. We've paid EUR 2.500 for a terrible stay of 2 nights. We've had 3 very scared crying young children, who couldn't find the bathroom at night because it was so dark. The refund never happened...
