Make your way up to the rear entrance of the cottage via wide steps, landings, to the petit back deck and to the elevated main level of the cottage.
Enter inside to find abundantly rich decor that welcomes you. Unique barn board floors, all railings/trims showcase the 150 year old hand hewn Ontario barn beams. Handmade terra cotta antique Mexican floor tiles, hand hammered copper tub and sinks, hand plastered walls and ceilings bring a touch of old world charm to this fine rustic eclectic retreat.
In the living room, the cathedral ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows give a breathtaking view of Lake Huron and is the perfect space for you to relax. There is a leather couch and loveseat nestled by the magnificent 2 sided wood-burning fireplace (Living/Master bedroom), a 50" HD Smart TV hung form a pulley, and a Blu-Ray DVD player, all underneath this stunning chandelier above. Bring along your favourite Blu-Ray movies for family entertainment on a rainy day, or check out the Netflix. Grab a book, this cozy bean bag and nautical reading lamp are ready to wrap you in comfort. Just off the main cottage entrance is a two-piece powder room - enjoy this very unique copper sink on a spalted maple pedestal for your convenience.
The kitchen is a hand crafted Tuscany kitchen with all Professional grade SS appliances, a unique leather finished granite counter, barn board cabinets and a rustic copper range hood to crown it all. An antique solid brass Italian chandelier, a barn pendant over the sink and those pot lights add a bright ambiance. Not to mention the fridge, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher and a bright window over the kitchen sink. The adjacent, rustic harvest table has seating for eight and a view out to the water. Patio doors are located here as well, for convenient access out to the elevated front wrap around deck and to the propane BBQ.
On this main floor is the opulent master bedroom with a queen size bed and patio doors out to the front deck. Sit and enjoy the waterfront view without even leaving your room, by the wood burning fireplace or enjoy the Smart TV here! There is an ensuite bathroom with stunning copper double soaker tub, separate shower and his & her sinks.
From the living room there is a staircase up to the second level. There you'll find three more bedrooms including the 'second' master bedroom with a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom, and another bedroom with a queen size bed. The other bedroom has both a double and a single bed. All three of these bedrooms own a Smart LED TV with Blue Ray DVD players, apart from a magnificent view of the lake. The main bathroom on this upper level is a four-piece with tub/shower combination.
From the main level stairs also take you down to the lower level. There, you will find a finished recreation room with a 1954 full-size snooker table for those friendly competitions, and another wall-mounted 58" Smart LED TV on one end and a surprise for some of the music lovers on the other. There are also patio doors out to the ground level for an easy walk out to the shore. Enjoy the walk way and a leasure walk over the ceder Catwalk upto the DOCK . Here at the cottage on this lower level is the fifth bedroom which offers two sets of bunks - one is a set of single bunks, while the other is a single over double bunkbed. That is a great spot for the older kids to camp out in their own space.
Out on the main elevated deck you can enjoy breathtaking views of the waterfront and fantastic sunsets. There are two patio tables, plenty of chairs and also zero-gravity lounge chairs so that you can sunbathe in comfort and soak up those views over the glass railings. The shoreline is a mix of rubble and flat rock with a gradual entry and good swimming.Enjoy the walkway and a leisure walk over the ceder catwalk up to the DOCK. Relax on the ceder Muskoka chairs once you seat you won't feel getting up..... This cottage is just 7 km from Singing Sands public beach, which is a beautiful sandy beach that is great for children and families.
The cottage is just a 15 minute drive into the village of Tobermory where you can walk along the scenic harbour front, eat in the restaurants, shop at the local stores, and take boat cruises out on the water. Visit Bruce Peninsula National Park and hike the trails to see what you can discover!
