Relax in the large hot tub looking up at the stars or out to sea. Watch the cruise ships meander up or down the coast while you BBQ dinner. Nestled 5 minutes between Parksville and Qualicum beach, this very private waterfront property offers amazing sunrises and beautiful sunsets with sandy beaches just steps away. Snorkel the bay, kayak to Parksville or charter a boat and try your luck at fishing. It's all within easy walking distance. The beach is a mixture of sand (at the foot of the path), gravel and small (up to 6" average) rocks and is perfect for sandcastle building and beach combing. Enjoy lying in the sun while your kids fly a kite at low tide. In short, the beach is perfect for all ages. It is a very private and protected area at high tide and an ideal swimming spot in the summer months with warm water created as the water flows over the hot sand. The average depth at high tide in the middle of the bay is approximately 4-5 feet with a flat bottom mixture of sand and rocks, great for snorkeling or floating. The French Creek marina, directly in view, always boasts the opportunity to walk the docks, enjoy the salt air, shop for fresh seafood or ride the ferry to Lasqueti Island. The Creek House Pub is only a few minutes walk along the sandy beach. Morningstar golf course is close by with a Sushi bar next door.

House Rules

***  RENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS  for  The Beach House on the Bay  ****

      

1.     **CHECK-IN TIME**is AFTER 3 pm PST 

**CHECK-OUT** is  BEFORE 11:00 am PST.  
                      

Please. NO Early Check-ins unless pre-approved
 

2.     This is a *NON SMOKING* house

( any indication of smoking in house is $200.00 
additional cleaning fee charge )


       3. *Pets* are not permitted in house under any condition.  
       4. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 21 years of age 
            unless accompanied by an adult, guardian or parent. 
       5. *DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT*- A damage/reservation deposit of $500 is required. This must be received within fourteen (14) days of booking the reservation. The reservation deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit 
upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully 
            refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. 
           a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. 
           b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. 
           c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in garbage can (emptied once per week usually upon checkout), and soiled dishes are placed 
in the dishwasher and cleaned. One load of laundry (towels)  is  started. 
           d. All keys are left on the kitchen table and unit is left locked. 
           e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. 
           f.  No linens/towels are lost or damaged. 
           g. No Early check-in or late check-out. 
           h. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), by 
the local law enforcement, or the security company employed by us. 
       1. *PAYMENT*( Please make payments in the form of personal cheques
 payable to ** Kerry or Christyne Pitt **  
       2. *CANCELLATIONS *- A  (30) day notice is required for cancellation. 
             Cancellations that are made more than  (30) days prior to the arrival 
             date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a 
             shortened stay, that are made within (29) days of the arrival date, forfeit 
            half the advance payment and/or reservation/damage deposit. Cancellations or 
             early departures do not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. 
       3. *MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY*- The maximum number of guests is limited to
                (2) persons. An additional charge or $18.00 per person per 
               night for guests in addition to  (2) will be assessed. 
            THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES a two (2) night minimum stay. 
        4. Longer *minimum stays* may be required during holiday periods. If a rental 
is taken for less than 3 days, the guest will be charged the three night minimum rate. 
        5. *INCLUSIVE FEES* - Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Amenity fees 
are included in the rental rate plus 1 tank of propane for BBQ. 
        6. *NO DAILY MAID SERVICE* - While linens and bath towels are included in the 
 unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate . We suggest you bring beach towels. We do 
not permit white towels or linens to be taken to the beach. Hot tub is acceptable.
        7. *RATE CHANGES* - Rates are subject to change without notice and are upheld for signed contracts only. 
        8. *FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS* - Any reservation obtained under false pretense 
will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental 
money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. 
        9. *WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS* - Any exceptions to the above mentioned
 policies must be approved in writing in advance.
        10. *Hot Tubs* – No children under the age of 12 permitted in hot tub(without parental supervision)at any time. When using the hot tub, remember there is certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers drain, sanitize, refill and replenish chemicals in tub prior to your arrival; therefore, it may not be warm till later that evening. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons.

            DO NOT STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVERS, they will break and you may be charged for replacement. Remember when not  using the hot tub, leave cover on so hot tub will stay warm. There is a secondary storm cover that  may be left off at times.
 

           11. Kayaks and other beach and property toys are left in a clean manner and returned to their original location


           12. Liability This property is privately owned. The guests accept the rental privileges with  the understanding that they hereby release the owners of the property
 (Christyne and Kerry Pitt) of all liability for loss or damage to their personal property and injury to his or her person arising out of their use of the facilities and agree to indemnify
 the owners against all claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the
 person of any member of the family or guest of the registered renters arising out of
 the use of the facilities on the property.
