Gulf Shores is a friendly, bustling beach community known for its welcoming locals, variety of on- and off-beach boutiques, hiking and biking trails, the newly revitalized and highly accessible Gulf State Park, and an array of opportunities for exploration.
Just west of Gulf Shores is Fort Morgan, the quiet side of paradise. At the end of Fort Morgan Road is a historic Civil War fort that invites visitors to walk where soldiers lived and worked. Fort Morgan is also home to several laid-back seafood restaurants, beach accesses, charter fishing operations, and the 6,000-acre Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, a great spot to explore nature and see coastal wildlife.
With its roots in fishing, Orange Beach is a fisherman’s paradise. The city is home to one of the region’s largest fleets of charter fishing boats, so it’s a breeze to book a fishing trip either on the Gulf of Mexico or in the area’s beautiful back bays.
Just east of Orange Beach and across the Florida state line is an area known for its abundant federal and state parklands. The barrier island of Perdido Key is peaceful and consistently ranks among the nation’s top 20 beaches as named by “Dr. Beach.”
At the same time, Perdido Key is also home to the legendary Flora-Bama Lounge, Package Store and Oyster Bar, home of nightly live music, special events and even Sunday church services.

Decided on a Friday morning to look for availability for beachfront condo. So glad this was available. We had a family of 6 and condo was spacious enough for all. Had everything we needed for the trip. Beautiful views from living room, master bedroom, and kitchen. Pool was big and awesome. Close to everything, and it can be a little inconvenient not to be able to turn left into the parking lot, but we managed it. Was all worth it for the view!!!Janie Deranger
