I am a private owner who lives in the Sarasota, FL area, and have owned this property since 2005. I am the owner, the "property manager", and the friend of some really nice neighbors here! I rent the Lazy Lobster to guests during most of the winter months.....and then spend the rest of the year either here (continuely upgrating/re-modeling) or at my place near Sarasota.
Most of my guests/renters have been from the U.S.......but I also have had renters from Canada, England and Austria!
You will "get what you see"....directly from the owner (who truly cares for both the property AND my guests)!! You also save paying a couple-hundred dollars!
Tropical comfort, nature center, "wild" Key Deer, awesome fishing, awesome State Park w/fantastic beach, skuba, snorkle, kayaking, great restaurants, weekly/daily "events close by, PLUS the real "layed-back" Keys style of living!!!!

1005782Hi folks, I had my 5th visit to Little Torch Key and my second stay at the Lazy Lobster and I'm booked to return in the spring. I love the Lobster, ideal location, neighbors, comfortable, relaxing. Tom has been excellent to communicate and deal with, can't say enough. Many upgrades to the Lobster make us really feel at home. See you in the Spring.

1005782I stayed at the Lazy lobster for the month of May. This was my 5th vacation in the Little Torch Key/ Big Pine area so I was already familiar with the local attractions. Key West, Geiger Beach, Bahia Honda, etc. The Lazy Lobster was a perfect spot to relax and make my own for the month. Although my schedule did not alow me to meet Tom we communicated via email of phone. Tom was always available and accomidating. However i met all the neighbors, Sharon, Ray, Charlotte, who made us feel right at home. also asking if there was anything we needed. Ray also invited us access through his yards to launch our kayaks in the sea access canal. Now planning my return trip next year. Rob

1005782The Lazy Lobster is the kind of place you can settle in to right away and feel cozy and comfortable. Tom has decorated his place delightfully, and it has everything a couple needs to enjoy a long stay in the keys. We especially enjoyed lounging by the canal and having an evening glass of wine, while watching the fish and birds. Biking was great- both short rides around the neighborhood and long rides into Middle and Big Torch keys. We played around in our kayak in the neighborhood canals and also swam in the canal a few times though the water was chilly.
The Wi-Fi was very fast and worked all over the property. TV had lots of channels including the sports channels we like. Electric grill on porch was convenient and easy to use. Bed was comfy, shower great, towels plush. Bahia Honda State Park with the best beach in the keys was a short drive away and Key West was only about a 40 minute drive. We also enjoyed the big Sat-Sun Flea market on Big Pine (good for produce), and Bagel Island became a routine stop for us. There is a lot to explore in the lower keys and the Lazy Lobster is a great home base. Tom was totally available by phone or email and is a wonderful landlord. We hope to visit again in the future.

1005782Really cute, tastefully done with great outside area. We had a great time at the Lazy Lobster, the location was perfect for us, easy drive to Key West, Bahia Honda, and Marathon. We had our boat with us and there is a free boat ramp a few blocks away which was easy to use, we spent a lot of time on the boat going to picnic island and fishing. We traveled with our 11 yr old and 4 year old and the space was fine, we loved the porch and that the kids could swim in the canal out back. We will be back, thank you Tom, you were a pleasure to rent from!!
