We were born and raised in northern Utah, but spent some time in Massachusetts as well. We are back in northern Utah raising our kids and most of our traveling has been to their hockey and lacrosse games. But we try to fit in as many other trips as we can, and travel to Kanab often. We are really enjoying exploring all of the sights that Mother Nature has to offer!
We first stayed in Kanab on our way to the Grand Canyon a few years ago. We loved the small town feel, and all of the natural wonders in the area. Once we decided on Kanab and started looking at houses, we quickly fell in love with this one and its charm. It has several large living areas, and well-apportioned bedrooms, making it a perfect gathering place and base camp for your adventures! We hope you enjoy this house as much as we do!
This house has lots of room for families to gather or spread out, whatever you want. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and the large yard gives you privacy from the neighbors. The wrap around porch allows you a peaceful and calm place to enjoy watching the deer and rabbits run through the yard, the red rock cliff views, or the starry sky at night.
Close to many National and State Parks, hiking and ATV trails. Make this your base camp for a fun-filled week in southern Utah/northern Arizona. Kanab is central to many beautiful recreation areas. It is in the middle of the "Grand Circle" - 45 minutes from Zion National Park, 90 minutes from the Grand Canyon, 90 minutes from Bryce Canyon, 10 minutes from Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, 45 minutes from Vermillion Cliffs, 90 minutes from Lake Powell, 30 minutes from the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. It is a short drive to national forests, and many scenic views. 1014397This house has the best combination of being a super nice, clean house and being a perfect base camp to all the surrounding Canyons/National Parks. Our group of 8 had a wonderful time staying there as the house has all the amenities we need and really close to groceries. We used this house as our base as we went to Grand Canyon and Page. Our trip was such an amazing experience, we will definitely use this house again next time !

The house is spacious and beautiful, within driving distance of so many great locations -- Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, the Grand Staircase Escalante, and the Grand Canyon! It also features gorgeous views and is a very short walk from the Bunting Trail, which offers a fun, moderately challenging hike with a spectacular view to those who make it all the way to the top. (See: http://www.trailskanab.com/bunting-trail/). The house has plenty of room for larger groups, plus games and movies for downtime at home. (Our sons were delighted by the basketball hoop in the driveway.) Kanab has all the charm of a small town plus the conveniences of a city. A wonderful place to visit -- we wish we could have stayed longer!

1014397We stayed here during a geologic field trip to the Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce Canyon National Parks. The house was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The location is central to all of our points of interest. We had a great time.

1014397We had 6 adults in our party, and had plenty of room to spread out. This was our 5th annual stay in Kanab, but our first time staying in a home. We won’t stay in motels anymore. So nice to come home from a day in the desert and keep the party rolling and not have to go to separate motel rooms. Kim was great to communicate with, and was able to accommodate a last minute decision to stay an extra night due to bad weather. Definitely recommend this place! Thanks again Kim!!!
