So we stumbled upon this great infographic via Business Insider and made us think of how many of these travel scams we have seen and even fallen for along the way.

We have seen plenty of infographics on this topic some short, some long, some with statistical charts and graphs none of them can truly prepare you for when you face on these scams face to face on your vacation. We have all watched plenty of scamming shows, read about travel scams, and have been scammed. Fact is the people that pull these scams continue to disguise their approach and execution but all pretty much fall in under one of the scams listed below.

Don’t just pay attention to the person you’re speaking to

The tactics of the scams listed below have a region where you are most likely to encounter them. However don’t pay too much mind to that regions as every single one of these rackets have happened in every major city across the world. Tourists are easy targets. When traveling, you don’t know your way around. You don’t know the ‘safe’ parts of the city. You are not exactly on high alert. With currency conversions are not even always sure what is a good deal and what is not. Getting taken advantage of in new places is just too easy.

The one way to combat these scams is to educate yourself and use common sense. If it feels wrong or forced its probably not the best for you and your vacations.  Read this entire infographic, and always be thinking about your surroundings while traveling. Don’t just pay attention to the person you’re speaking to, but also to who is near you and within reach of you or your things. No need to be paranoid, just be away and you can avoid getting tricked.

Don’t fall victim to these common travel scams.
