Ireland Travel Destinations

Size does not play a big role if you are an avid traveler and believe in discovering new things, have fun and adventure. Why I say all this is because my next travel hotspot is Ireland. Though small in size, it has no lack of amazing things to see and do for backpackers, from the misty lanes of the fascinating west coast to Dublin’s crowded cobblestone streets.
West Coast Villages:
Villages? Yes please! Dingle, Clifden and Doolin are the main villages to visit and experience something far from the bustling cities. See fiddle playing, table dancing, ride a bike on the not-so-very wide coastal roads, stroll through rolling hills and maintain good rapport with local life. There are personal pubs scattered throughout the region where you can enjoy a local treat.
Cork:
Blarney Castle is worth touring. It is home to the Blarney Stone. Legend has it that kissing the stone will endow the kisser great eloquence skill. Other worth visiting attractions includes Cork City Gaol and Desmond Castle.
Dublin:
Capital, largest city and major port of the Irish Republic, Dublin occupies the topmost position of every backpacker’s list. The city has to offer a number of attractions. You will visit the Irish Museum of Modern Arts, the National Gallery, the Book of Kells and the Liffey River. Besides that taste country’s famous libations.
Galway:
I should not miss out Galway, a port city in western Ireland on Galway Bay. The port city is otherwise known for renowned artists. The city also hosts several festivals and events all through the year. No matter whether you are visiting the city in summer or in winter, you will likely witness some of the biggest carnivals, such as the Early Music Festival, the Galway Arts Festival and Beethoven Festival. Galway’s cobblestone streets are the busiest ones with musician and farmers occupying respective places and selling their respective stuff.
