Romantic Paint the Night Cottage is part of a four acre property near waterfalls, flowing rivers, lakes in state parks that have full amenities and hiking in the ancient Catskill Mountains.
Skiing, seasonal tubing and swimming make our area a natural Disney World!
Our unique, artful, green dwelling is available by the night, week or month.
Tumble into bed to the sound of our brook singing, soothed by a heated tile floor downstairs or get cozy upstairs under the stars with a book or cup of tea at dawn gaze out the large picture window when snow softly falls.
A rocking chair out the front door, brooks 10 ft away, campfire, picnic table under stars twinkling.
The Cottage in the Wood best accommodates 2 people: (we have slept six but it is tight!)
Upstairs is our comfortable 'sleep under the stars' master bedroom with large windows directly over brook, skylight, small library, cathedral ceilings and hardwood floors.
Additional sleeping is possible THROUGH the master bedroom in an Americana themed separate bedroom perfect for the kids, mother in law or Uncle Harry - with a double bed (and fold up floor mattress for two if you want to pack people like sardines!)
Be aware, at the top of the stairs one must walk a few feet through the master bedroom to reach the second studio bedroom. (A large wicker screen is provided for privacy if you are two couples --- but please keep in mind, these two bedrooms are close.
(Consider reserving our other cottage if you are two couples seeking more intimacy while you 'paint your night' ha ha ha)
NOTE: Over two adults is 30. per person for a one night stay, kids half price, babies free if you bring along a mobile crib.
There is also a full bed futon couch in the (small) downstairs kitchen day room for another option but our downstairs room is small.
Often 6 people have stayed especially when spending time outdoors but our other cottage is better for six people.

Paint the Night Main House
Each dwelling is private, separated by 125 feet and a long 5 ft tall privacy fence and each has separate parking areas..
- romantic as a melody for two people on a honeymoon
- the campfire is right out the front door on the edge of a mountain brook
- scrumptious heated tile floor in the (small) kitchen day-room downstairs
- can sleep up to 6 people in close quarters ( remember, there are additional charges for more than two guests).

- bear, rabbits and deer
- beautiful, fluffy towels and linens provided

- netflix (via computer only)
